That’s the kind of word that, when said in a specific context (like after shooting someone who is black), reflects an ingrained attitude toward black people. It’s definitely not a natural response for someone who isn’t deeply racist.

It boggles my mind and depresses me that we have to point this out to a Christian.

I never said there was, Shuny. Try really hard to focus.

Get you in the right circumstances, and I bet even you would be surprised by the things coming out of your own mouth.

Anyway, it's possible that racism was a factor in this, but an excited utterance isn't necessarily proof of anything, although you can be sure the prosecution will make it a big deal.

I've heard that one. It's a catchy saying, but I don't believe it's necessarily true.

I repeat, I have never used that word and never will. It is not and never has been part of my thinking. That is just what it is.

It doesn't have to be part of your thinking for something to come unbidden out of your mouth in a high stress situation. Do you not understand how high stress can short circuit rational thought?

I've probably spent more of my time around drunks than you have, then.

Especially when dealing with "mean drunks" who are prone to say things for no other reason than to be nasty and hurtful.

Then why did he contact the police about issues with trespassers and theft?

The land owner did not contact nor complain to the police concerning a complaint of trespassing nor a complaint of any other crime.

Then why did he install a security camera?
The security camera is simply standard equipment on homes to prevent crime. As cited no crime committed here. The land owner gave the police copies of the videos simply as a part of the investigation of the murder of Ahmaud Aubrey

So, in your view, the police just took it on themselves to send the property owner a text recommending that he contact McMichael if there were any problems with trespassers.

Indeed. And that blows a ocean liner sized hole through your claim that he was "totally unconcerned" about trespassers and theft.

Only because you are determined to ignore the crime of trespassing.
