This is the video I saw with a protester whose eyes were tearing up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tTAPLi-pto
In retrospect, no one else appeared to be having having difficulty. Tear gas would have had a major effect on everyone in the area. He may have gotten a direct hit with "smoke". But as CP notes elsewhere, it is clear the police were not wearing gas masks as they marched straight into the cloud. There's simply no way they would use gas and not use protection.
Having said this, the police appear to be rather brutal in the way they cleared the area. But actual tear gas? It makes no sense.

Originally posted by DivineBoob View PostThe recovery of the canister in the immediate aftermath a chaotic crowd control incident involving multiple police forces is on its own very strong circumstantial evidence which makes a prime facie case that it had been used by the authorities. Recall that the protestors were unruly, had been throwing missiles at the police, and had stashed multiple lethal weapons along the path for use at moments notice. Further add that the President was due in the vicinity shortly and it's no wonder that such force would be employed.
But isn't it funny how there's supposedly a tear gas cylinder lying around for a random reporter to find, and yet we haven't heard any reports from multiple witnesses who suffered from the effects of tear gas. Now isn't that strange. Some may call me foolish, and some may call me odd

it has not gone unnoticed. China has basically seen this as justification to raise their head high about tianenmen square. Openly mocking the US former status as a 'beacon of light' for democracy.

But I'll not be surprised if you and others don't get it. You've already compromised your basic principles so much in order to continue your defense and support for Trump you may well have lost your capacity to understand why what Trump did could have such an effect. My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism.
