I've referenced this article a few times this morning, but these statements put matters into perspective when it comes to how the MSM covers both sides:

      http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/mas...7Kz&ocid=edgsp

Counterprotesters marched through the city on Saturday to historic Boston Common, where conservatives had planned to deliver a series of speeches but soon left. Police vans later escorted the conservatives out of the area, as boisterous counterprotesters scuffled with police.

Opponents feared that white nationalists might show up in Boston anyway, and turned out in force, some dressed entirely in black with bandannas over their faces.

Members of the Black Lives Matter movement held a protest on the Common, where a Confederate flag was burned and protesters pounded on the sides of a police vehicle.

Rallies in other cities around the country, while smaller, also were forceful.

In Dallas, a scuffle broke out between people at a rally against white supremacy and supporters of Confederate monuments as the event was ending. Police officers had to subdue the crowd.

Don't worry, guys, it was just a "scuffle".

Who is they? Its not the City of Boston, it's John Henry, the owner of the team that wants to change the name of the street.

It's Henry, Sam Kennedy, and Mayor Walsh. And to be clear, I am a 40+ year lifelong Red Sox fan.

As long as it's not the Yankees.

Ah, they would be Henry and Kennedy, owner and Ceo of the team, it was their idea, a business decision. Mayor Walsh merely said he would be open to the idea. You're just trying to use a business decision by the Red Sox to make the City of Boston look bad. And to be clear, I'm from Boston, and have apparently been a Red Sox fan longer than you've been alive. I know more about Boston and the kind of city it is than you think you do.

Sorry, but it's been an issue for longer than Henry's statement the other day.

No I am not. I loved Boston when I visited. Great city. Great food. I found the people at Fenway to be very good people.

Yeah, actually I do. I know its been an issue for a long, long time, its been an issue for the team and for some civic minded individuals who speak out about it, but not for the city.

Didn't say that it was, that was the inference you were making in saying that Boston is going nuts.
