Some attribute this vision to an epileptic seizure, it has all the characteristics of one. It seems Muhammad was similarly afflicted.

Of course they do --- they want to sin and feel good about it!

It was and is bad because it an act of violence against an unwilling victim.

      Kinda like homosexuality.
Only in the case of homosexual rape.

He DID speak against fornication, which even includes a wide number of "informed consent" partnerships. In fact - all "informed consent" acts outside marriage.
So, your "informed consent" excuse is toast.

So, unlike Jesus, YHWH didn't love them, so had them stoned or burnt to death. You actually believe that was the word of your god, to burn and stone to death witches, homosexuals, people with other religions, adulterers, children who cursed their parents etc.?

            • Yeah, well, this wouldn't be the first time you've been at odds with what Jesus actually taught.

That could explain the vast majority of your posts!

                • Reverend Tassman, you have NO WAY OF KNOWING how Buttigieg views scripture. NOT A CLUE!

You have been challenged to produce ANYTHING that shows that Buttigieg actually considered the scripture in question, and you have failed repeatedly to do so. It is FAR more likely that he simply ignores the passages that directly address homosexuality.

All you do is spew forth nonsense and obfuscation.

Perhaps you can show me a copy of the email where Buttigieg has authorized an anti-Christian internet bigot to be his spokesperson?

No I won't, he died over two thousand years ago, CP. Besides that, I'm asking you. Do you honestly believe that your god commanded those people to be burnt or stoned to death?

You have a well established habit of being wrong about an incredibly wide range of topics.

Seems strange that for the first 300 years or so of Christianity, no-one considered Paul's comments about women to have been generally applicable. The churches muddled along quite happily thinking it was acceptable to have women in positions of authority. Even Paul himself failed to realise that women were prohibited from positions of authority throughout the church - women were permitted to pray and prophesy in the assembly (according to Paul) and he even named an apostle who was a woman. Of course, once the church had submitted to the mores of its culture and time, then women were relegated to second-class within the church.

Of course. Homosexuals couldn’t possibly be genuine and sincere about believing in an inclusive and loving Jesus.
Sincere is believable, but correct is another matter. There is nothing about an inclusive Jesus advocated or presented by the Bible.

OTOH, it seems that Christians have been able to reexamine and dismiss what Paul said about slaves in Romans, Corinthians, and Timothy 1, but are not as yet prepared to do the same about what he said regarding homosexuals. But they will. Scripture has always been helpful in validating the social mores of the day.
Out of context readings might have Romans advocating slavery - but so thoroughly out of context that it would seem so only to someone profoundly functionally illiterate. The same is almost true of Corinthians: except that "profoundly" might not apply. Of course 1 Timothy does exhort slaves to honour their masters, so there is something that might be said in criticism of that one reference.
1Cor 15:34 Come to your senses as you ought and stop sinning; for I say to your shame, there are some who know not God.

The same way that he knows that Trump is a "crooked, treasonous, autocratic, con man" who colluded with the Russians to steal the 2016 election. He just "knows" it.
