  • Evil Trump Scaring Our Children!

Is there no end to Trump's wicked ways!

Former Utah teacher who now leads the National Education Association says Trump is scaring children to tears
Lily Eskelsen Garcia says students afraid of their own president is unprecedented and ’unforgivable.’

That's what happens when you make politics into your god and your side ends up losing. My kids are not afraid of Trump... than again I didn't teach them to make politics their god and politicians into saviors or demons either.

Trump isn't scaring children, it's the unconscionable liberal parents and teachers who have turned the President into a bogeyman in the minds of impressionable children. They should be ashamed of themselves, but then I remember that people like this have no shame.

When my children disobey (rare, but still happens), I tell them to shape up or Trump might put them in Nazi death camps. Just the other night my two-year-old asked me to check under his bed for white supremacists...they're learning.
I DENOUNCE DONALD J. TRUMP AND ALL HIS IMMORAL ACTS.

Decades ago, people used to encourage their children by telling them that they could president one day.

Parents still tell their children that, but it's to scare the living daylights out of them.

From the article: "Overall, the NEA president said she didn’t trust the Trump administration and worries it will 'destroy the brightest jewel' in America’s crown, 'the public school.'"

NEA has already beaten the Trump administration in destroying the "brightest jewel . . . the public school."

There was some special on TV the other night with the premise "What if we treated teachers like celebrities!" It was an award show, I think -- I didn't watch it for very long -- but they brought in teachers from all over the country and had the red carpet, the paparazzi, crowds of people lining the walkway to scream at each teacher as they arrived while the teachers stood there looking awkward. I guess the idea is that teachers are so important that we should treat them like celebrities; unfortunately, the only common link I could think of between teachers and Hollywood stars is that both are overrated.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the value of a good teacher (and considering the number of bad teachers in the system, a good one is even more highly valued), but this notion that teaching is the most important profession ever is stupid. There are a lot more people besides teachers who are critical for encouraging a child to grow up to be a moral and productive member of society. Teachers are just one cog in a highly complex machine, but the way some people act, they're the only cog.

I do have to sort of agree with this except: Celebrities are of essentially zero value to the nation or the world. Even a mediocre teacher is more valuable than the top celebrity.

Yes, let's treat teachers just like celebrities. A group know for the narcissistic tendencies. What could possibility go wrong?

                          It already has gone wrong.

Children?!?! unlikely, but Trump scares me.
