The US media has been lying its people into wars for the last 50 years. Generally the military industrial complex and/or the President's administration provides some 'sources' to discreetly tell the media some lies, and the media breathlessly reports it as gospel truth. Secretive evidence from anonymous sources that wouldn't pass muster in any trial of any common criminal suddenly gets elevated to the status of We Totally Need To Go To War Over This And Kill Hundreds of Thousands of People.

Despite all of that history, Seer seems to have his gullibility set to maximum.

What seems to be leaking out of the administration is that it's standard practice for the Pentagon to offer Presidents a wide range of options in any situation including those that the Pentagon itself considers absurd. Killing Soleimani was apparently one of those implausible options. (6 Pentagon officials have resigned in the last month, so possibly things are not being very well organized at the Pentagon's end as a result) But for some reason Mike Pompeo and Mike Pence intervened and bullied Trump into choosing this option, much to the Pentagon's chagrin and horror.

What's unclear though are the motives of Pompeo and Pence. Pompeo has been floating the idea of a Senate run for the last two months, and today has said he won't do it. Since the assassination, Pence has been unusually active, and has been busy peddling utterly bizarre Soleimani-did-9/11 lies on twitter. So both men seem to be behaving a bit strangely, but I'm not sure what the connection is. Unless Pence and Pompeo are trying to play 3D-chess with regard to using this Iran incident they've engineered to somehow further the impeachment of Trump and get Pence into the presidency with Pompeo as VP... but it's not at all clear to me how that would work. Unless they're going to try and use this incident to focus on Trump's declining mental health???

So Reuters was lying? But let me ask you Star, if the Reuters story and investigation was correct would that justify taking out Soleimani?
