Ok, I understand what your saying.

I will put this on the list of information to be noted/remembered.

I do not have anything about "Appearance of Age" (AoA) vs. "Appearance of History" (AoH) problem.

"Appearance of History" (AoH) maybe against YEC but I am still a YEC. ( ). I will think about this more.
Sure - you have to go with your conscience in terms of how to understand scripture - especially in situations where one is not equipped to evaluate the technical fine points of a particular debate. But what one must be very careful about is saying one has scientific backing for one's position on scripture - especially when one doesn't

Fortunately, God requires only the most basic understanding of scripture. John 3:16 in many ways is sufficient. So when we hit something we can't quite figure out, for the most part it is really ok to say "I don't know".

Jim
The part I bolded is what really sold this for me. Very well said. We need to learn to disagree and realize that what is most important is that which is necessary for our salvation.

While I disagree with O-mudd's central thesis () I do fully understand and agree with saying "I don't know". It's a powerful and honest response to any number of situations.

"I don't know" followed by "but I want to."

Very interesting. It is important to be able to admit "I don't have all the answers to everything." It's very humbling.

"And now Lord, with your help, I will become myself."

God, I want to dream again
Take me where I've never been
I want to go there
This time I'm not scared
Now I am unbreakable, it's unmistakable
No one can touch me
Nothing can stop me
