I'm not quite sure whether this gets a screwball, or an anti-screwball. Certainly good for a laugh:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...n-YouTube.html

Other links: HMRC gets stiff competition, nine more boring youtube videos, including a cow chewing cud who looks "almost as bored as we are" Personally, I like the train sim.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe that people put up videos of paint drying and grass growing.

Shadowmaster - The winner of Shadowboy is Darth Ovious who preemptively slew The Hulk before even applying.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darth Ovious: Are you friends with Dee Dee mononoke?

Mononoke: Yes Dee Dee mononoke is one of my best friends.

Darth Ovious: Are you friends with One Bad Pig mononoke?

Mononoke: Yes One Bad Pig mononoke is one of my best friends.

Darth Ovious: Am I your friend mononoke?

Mononoke: You really want a robot as a friend?

Darth Ovious: yes I would like you as a friend mononoke?

Mononoke: We could be friends, , but I don't want anyone to think we're Robosexuals. So if anyone asks, tell them you're my debugger. Why do you want you as a friend mononoke?

Screwball for the producers of this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gnQz32c5EA

and to FormerFundy for thinking it actually presents a legitimate refutation of Christianity.
The Mr. Deity videos... When I first started out as an apologist, I would have jumped on these and tried to refute each and every one. Now I've grown up, and I know that there are some things that just deserve silence. Giving them a Screwball Award would just feed the egos of the producers and they would probably (gasp!) make more.

I think its better to ignore the whole lot of them. They only convince people like FormerFundy anyway.

Those who are proud to receive a screwball are only showing just how screwy they really are. Let them think it's an honor. Meanwhile, we'll be laughing at their expense.

Yeah, I nominated Reed Braden from "Homosecular Gaytheist" about a year ago. I don't remember for what. He was excited and asked where he and his blog followers could go vote for him to win the Screwball Award. I didn't pay him much mind after that.

Yeah, what do they think this is? Olbermann's 'Worst Person in the World'?

It is not that children are incapable so much as that we have shifted the goalposts of maturity as a result of added leisure time. -JP Holding

I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but shouldn't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem deal with itself?

Making fun of the trinity does not mean they don't understand the concept. You can fully understand something and still make fun of it.

Its a harmonization of monotheism with having what looks like multiple gods. Simple enough. Is there some deep insight you feel skeptics are missing?

Y'know, DJ makes this huge deal about, "I wuz a student of William Lane Craig, duh ah" as a way to sell himself as some sort of premier anti-apologist, yet here he admits:

* He only had one class with him
* in which there were no tests or notes
* He greatly disagreed with his methods
* This was before Craig was a major name in apologetics

And yet, DJ rides this "I was Craig's student" hobbyhorse as a way to cheaply promote his books, letting the reader fill in with their imaginations that he took multiple classes with Craig and was one of his best-reckoned students.

Well, it would probably sell books better than, "I brushed by Craig in the hallway while heading for the student lounge."

Let's just face it: This "I was a student of Craig" song and dance is about as relevant and honest as, "Geisler recommended my book."

I remember DJ saying at some point that he has no problem with stretching the truth or outright lying if he thinks it'll convince somebody to adopt his point of view.

It also makes you wonder about one of DJ's other boasts that Craig is afraid to face him in debate because DJ was a former student. Based on the above, I doubt Craig even knows who he is.

A Screwball nom, late by approximately two years (and perhaps already offered, though I doubt it ) - and should be taken with a grain of salt:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/com...cle3107633.ece

Now, Jeremy Clarkson claims that the world would be much better morally if religion was abolished (even though moral wouldn't even be able to exist without religion, IMO), that religious wars have killed more than 809 million people throughout history and that the choice between God and a patio heater is fairly simple for everyone to make.

But like the man has said himself: most of what his mouth utters is rubbish!

More precisely, I'd say he'd never have heard of DJ again if it weren't for all of us here.
