First three pages. I'll have some more next Tuesday when a bomb will drop that sets the tone for the whole story. Then I'll be on the road about 2 1/2 days and there'll be no more updates to it for a week. I'll take RP #5 inks on the road with me.

Other than that, the revamp version of ST #4 is done and the version of ST #3 is nearly done. It's not that slow a process as I expected.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

Yay more Hearthstone!!!

Hmm, on rangtoon5001 the elapines ears are way too tall, they look more antlers, or antennas. This becomes clear when compared image right below, their ears are about as tall as their heads, but on the panel above they are sometimes three times that, plus they are very thin.

Heh, I wonder what this? Cartel brainwashing, or are they experimenting with possession? It sounds like S'klan controlling him, he's having trouble with the langauge, doesn't know the currency and acts in very inappropriate way.

He probably is a sk'lan disguised in some way. I wonder if the bomb is the replacement of one of the characters with a ak'lan infiltrator.

OK Mr. Microscope. I'll take care of that later.

I'll let the speculation rest and/or continue uncommented to see if anyone comes close or gets it. Maybe even come up with a prize for anyone who gets it right.

I want to know the specifcs of grainfruit. The name has piqued my curiosity. How is it used? What is the taste of the fruit? Are there recipies for it? Grainfruit... it gives me this image of a fruit filled with barley in its meat. And that sends me strange vibes.

Gahhh...ok, took care of it.

I'm actually maintaining parallel versions of all these pages what with the revamp in progress. Finished the ST #3 revamp yesterday, BTW, and September screwballs today:

And inks are 1/5 done on RP #5.

Tanks, no -- I don't think steam power would be conducive to use of heavy- tonnage ground-roving war machines. To make up for that I envision hand-held weapons having developed farther than ours have.

Warships, yes -- there was a Prycene naval vessel in RP #4.

I have actually thought of this. I imagine it to indeed have a grainy texture, somewhat like certain types of pear. I see it as a favorite fruit of the Sk'lan, native to the Northwest but grown in Nullabor too along the small strips of fertile coast.

Surely you know that we have breadfruit trees here on Earth? As in Mutiny on the Bounty?

There's also eggplants that don't contain egg.

The (now if it was venisonfruit that would be different) Curtmudgeon

The fact that you've given more thought to fruit than one of Hearthstone's major religions frightens me, JP.

But that's nothing new.

Anyway, the first three pages look excellent.

I find it much easier to design fruit than to design religions.

They can just use their mag lev engines. They do have huge trains, so their levitation technology can support large vehicles, and they have beam weapons which eliminate the problem of recoil from firing big guns. Plus I wanted to see a tank. Maybe one of the sides can invent one and give the other some trouble? (*hint hint* )
