Guess what discovery *I* just made...

Moderators, please leave these links intact despite use of my real name, etc. It''ll be moot in a few weeks anyway.

Exhibit 1: Entry in "Debunking Christianity," Doubting John's blog, dated 5/22/07:

http://debunkingchristianity.blogspo...p-holding.html

I recently noticed another blog that apparently started up in March which is very critical of J.P. Holding, here. I personally do not like Holding, but I'm probably not going to waste my time on him, except to point out what others are saying about him.
The "here" leads to this blog site, which is exhibit 2:

Exhibit 2: http://jpholding.blogspot.com/

Notice that there's no name attached to this blog, no one who takes responsibility for it whatsoever. Yet DJ says he "recently noticed" this blog. Hmmm. Note also this quote:

There are several sites dedicated to exposing James Patrick Holding's disgusting and depraved tactics, along with the way he dishonestly mischaracterizes his skeptical opponent's arguments. This Blog's purpose is to draw the attention of search engines so that people can come here and find out about J.P. Holding
Exhibit 3:

http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4637087.../posts/default

Hmmmm.....this seems to be some kind of source code and material for the site noted as Exhibit 2...look, the very same quote appears:

There are several sites dedicated to exposing James Patrick Holding's disgusting and depraved tactics, along with the way he dishonestly mischaracterizes his skeptical opponent's arguments. This Blog's purpose is to draw the attention of search engines so that people can come here and find out about J.P. Holding
And my goodness....whose name do we find there in the code?

Not that it is needed, but as further evidence, the spelling errors I called down on that Exhibit 2 page were corrected after I told DJ about them in the Screwballs thread.

JSD, that avatar is AWESOME!

I just realized I'm short on time so I'll get to the other surprise later.

Hmmmm.....this seems to be some kind of source code and material for the site noted as Exhibit 2...look, the very same quote appears:
By the way, this link is a news feed (in the Atom format, in this case; another common format is RSS), which allows people to find out when a website is updated without having to visit it. It's helpful when someone has a lot of sites that they keep up with. They use a program called a news aggregator or feed reader that collects the feeds from the sites and presents them in a nice, uniform format for the viewer. I use RSS Bandit, which is a standalone program, but there are a lot out there. Google Reader is a popular web-based aggregator.

Ever since I got into news feeds, I've though Tekton could use one. It's harder to create one if you code the site by hand though. A lot of blog and content management software will automatically create feeds for you. TWeb has feeds for each forum and also for the blogs.

I saw it. Some people there will soon have egg on their face. Especially Mauron.

In light of this incident I have a message for Matthew Green. I'm sure it'll be passed on.

You went off on me because you thought DJ was such a great guy. Well, well, well.

Care to change your mind now?

I'll give you until Friday to decide.

*****

I guess instead of the 7th commandment I should ask DJ what he finds unclear about the 9th.

That's really something else.

And because you linked to that particular blog entry here, it automatically set up a link to this thread on John's blog! Free publicity!

I just saw one of those videos on youtube.

Let me get this straight. You use a fake name to protect your identity yet don't have your face hidden when you appear on film? You got some kinda weird "porn-star anonimity" thing going on here JP.

And whoever the editor was, he sure had fun with his graphics card.

Great interview JP. Shame they didn't get to interview someone like N.T. Wright or Malina as well.
