View Full Version : Seeing Christ's Glory

The terms, “seeing heaven open and God’s angels going up and coming down on the Son of Man” (John 1:51); “seeing the Son of Man going back to the place where he was before” (John 6:62) and “entering his glory”, as used by Jesus Christ and anticipated in the books of Moses and the writings of the prophets (Luke 24: 25-27), although generally overlooked by Christianity today, bear great promise of deep enlightenment or firsthand knowledge of and faith in terms of absolute power of Jesus Christ manifested over death and life, i.e., His self-revelation aka resurrection (John 20: 8-9).
To this end, fine-drawing “the death of Jesus Christ on the cross” with what is defined, developed and promised in ancestry becomes an attractive option for investigation on the “weightier matters of the Law” leading to nothing less than the clearest definition of God’s power in the final, mysterious and life-transforming, self-revelation of God at the same-day death and resurrection of Jesus according to the following logical trend in Scriptures which one can trace and analyze in the “tree of life” (Gen. 9); the “bush on fire but not burning up” (Ex. 3: 1-15); the “bronze snake on a tree” (Num. 21: 4-9); the “Law concerning unsolved murders” (Deut. 21: 1-9); the “Law of same-day burial of a body hanging on a post” (Deut. 21:22); the Terms and Seal of the “new covenant” (Jer.31: 31-34; Matt. 26: 26-29 ff); and the timely work of the promised Holy Spirit (John 14: 15-21; 16: 5-15; Matt. 27: 50-56).
I have personally seen the great vision and benefitted from its dynamic and sustainable faith more than 34 years!
PRAISE THE LORD!

I don't know who it is that you think overlooks John 1:51, but in my circles it's generally discussed in terms of Jesus identifying himself with Jacob's ladder (Genesis 28:12) on which the angels "ascended and descended." Jesus is declaring himself as the only true path to God, much as he says explicitly in John 14:6.

Maybe you will change your mind if you compare HEARSAY or claims by Jesus Christ about himself (John 1:50) and VISION of Christ's absolute authority in heaven and on earth (John 1:51) as basis of faith! Although the latter is the preferred position by Jesus Christ, the Christianity's position is undeniably the contrary. Isn't it?

I do not see how your comments are a response to mine.

I do not see how your comments are a response to mine.

Weighing the relative strengths of, on the one hand, CLAIMS (e.g., "I saw you when you were under the fig-tree") and, on the other hand, VISIONS ("God's angels going up and coming down on the Son of Man"),i.e., the absolute authority of Jesus Christ as basis for sustainable faith, will hopefully make my comments match your response. Yes, I appreciate the silence. The experience requires quality time. GBY!

I saw Jesus the other day...

...I read His words...

...said what I thought in a reply...

...and kept going...

...then they said "you are unorthodox for believing what Christ said"

AND I'VE NEVER LOOKED BACK.
