View Full Version : Search for the Self-revealing God

If anyone wants to search for the self-revealing God, for firsthand and personal viewing, knowledge, faith and worship, based on His special works described in the Scriptures of Jews, Christians and Muslims that denies any religion is true, here is an excellent starting point.

John 4

Jesus declared,

21. “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
22. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
23. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks.
24. God is spirit and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Why and how have we all missed such an opportune time for worship of God free from any religions (and wars) –a time that is apparently long here?

Alternative views are, of course, welcome!

The hebrews begged for a king for exactly the same reason their ancestors later begged Moses to represent them (they feared even God's voice) and we don't seek God (Rom 3:11-12) today for precisely the same reason:

No one wants to die, and God's righteousness is a lake of fire to human falsity. He mercifully has little close spiritual communion with humans. Those He has visited have been burned into higher levels of regenerational purity than your average bear, these have prophecied and become great men and women of God. The rest of us are content to wallow in our darkness (Jn 3:19), to play with the bits of truth we've been cleansed to possess and hold dear....and from this precious stuff, faith may be fashioined.

We look forward to the day we can worship in spirit and truth fully and face to face with the lake of fire Himself, like Daniel's friends in Nebuchadnezzar's furnace.

Thank you for your different views, which by elimination will surely guard us from error and lead us to the truth!

How could Rom. 3: 11-12 apply in a work in which God has already taken all the INITIATIVES in the books of Moses; DEVELOPMENT in the writings of the prophets; and FULFILLMENT in the diacritical death of Jesus Christ on the cross? No way!

Being “content to wallow in our darkness”, when the light is on, is equivalent to disobedience, unbelief and love of darkness resulting in the predicted judgment (John 3: 18-21) and eternal rejection –“I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!” is the penalty for those who continue to resist knowing God after He has fully revealed Himself (Matt. 7: 21-23).

On the other hand, the terms in the “new covenant” are extremely favorable leaving absolutely nothing out! What a wonderful surprise it would be to have the following radical changes:
• God’s law placed within us and written in our hearts (“Goodbye! Scriptures”);
• Exclusive and intimate relationship between God and His people;
• Firsthand and personal knowledge of God by all; and
• Matchless and abundant grace to cover all our sins!
(Jer. 31: 31-34)

Second-guessing the glorious and blessed God by holding different views from His Good News to the world is, in effect, playing right in the hands of the Enemy! Let us think again for God is not willing to help us any more than He has according to the Scriptures!

God bless you.

Way. The plan was before the foundation of the world, no time there. Here, the clock still ticks. What's done in eternity is still being played out here in time. We see and believe the end, but are stuck on the stage of matter, playing each moment out till our purification to faith is done.

But being fully revealed in history and knowledge [Scripture] is not the same as being fully revealed in the hearts of humans. All resistance is destined to be burned with the holy fire of regeneration by the Lake of Fire Himself. It can be done partially to faith with man as participator in time....the "special" salvation of 1Tim 4:10....or in the Lake of Fire in one hour (Rev 18) wtihout mercy (Ezek 7:4, 9:10, Jer 11:11, etc.) for those who rebel to their dying breath.

Wonderful indeed. Though the fourth in your list is already accomplished, I think.

God bless you.
But the good news [mercy, forgiveness, atonement, salvation] doesn't replace the bad [wages of sin= death, destruction, wrath]. The latter still is in effect, for God will not be mocked. Death still stands but is supervised by grace, that as we destroy and kill ourselves with our own sin, He brings us back to life fragmentally, progressively and, in the end, eternally. The whole Bible is true, cover to cover.

Wishful thinking!

The GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST is actually about the "Law of God" at work, i.e., the final prophetic vision of the self-revelation of God "in the hearts and minds of humans" according to but superseding Scriptures. At stake is nothing less than the "true worship" of God, as he reall is, exclusively by the power of his Spirit and outside the confines of all religions (John 4: 21-26)

Wonderful indeed. Though the fourth in your list is already accomplished, I think.

All four terms in the "new covenant" are fullly accomplished under the "seal" of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross producing an open vision of self-sufficient life and sustainable faith (Matt. 26: 26-29 ff; John 1: 47-51; 8: 21-28; 19: 30-37)

We keep second-guessing the LORD, who has clearly spoken: "I will forgive their sins and I will no longer remember their wrongs." (Jer. 31:34) at out own peril!

GBY!
