Anointing

Does anyone know how many times David was anointed?:argh: :help:

I can think of three off the top of my head, however, I'll look later when I am not babysitting my 4 year old nephew (he's a wild one).

I too believe that is was three times. Once as a shepherd, once when he became the King of Judah and lastly when he bacme the king of Israel. It is my belief that he was anointed anew each time because each task required a fresh anointing from the Lord. As his territories expanded and as his responsibilities increased == so did his need for anointing. I am writing a paper and wanted to get some input from the great thinkers on this board -- but so far -- no takers -- anyone want to help a freshman theologian out?:bawl:
