View Full Version : TSUNAMI CAUSED BY... Christians and Jews?

According to Diana West, a columnist for the Washington Times - ISLAMIC MEDIA EXPLAINS WORLD EVENTS LIKE THIS:

On Palestinian Authority TV, according to MEMRI (the Middle East Media Research Institute), Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris asked Allah in a Friday sermon to have mercy on "all the Muslims who died" in the tsunami. Which means everyone else is on his own. Next, the sheik railed against the disaster's cause, which was neither earth, skies nor anything divine in between. It seems that it all had to do with "THE OPPRESSION AND CORRUPTION CAUSED BY AMERICA AND THE JEWS" - naturally.

Saudi cleric Muhammad Al-Munajjid's take, as broadcast on state-controlled Saudi television (also reported on MEMRI - the Middle East Media Research Institute), was certainly anti-Christian. "The problem is that the (Christian) holidays are accompanied by forbidden things: by immorality, abomination, adultery, alcohol, drunken dancing and... and revelry," he said,
"At the height of immorality, Allah took vengeance of these criminals ... Allah struck them with an earthquake. He finished off the Richter scale," he added. "All nine levels gone."
No mention of the tens of thousands of non-Christians "gone" alongside said "criminals" - and, of course, no mention of the vast amounts of "criminal" (and even, ye gods, Jewish) aid pouring into the region, most expeditiously via the United States military, in amounts that dwarf the contributions of the Muslim world.

The Web site Jihad Unspun. In a feat of contorted thinking not even the New York Times editorial page would attempt, it connects the killer from the sea to Thailand's support for United States foreign policy - that is, for "the Christian Crusaders" at "the altar of capitalism."

As the columnist - Diana West states: "FOR JUST AS ISLAM HIDES ITS FACE FROM THE FACTS OF MODERNITY, WE MUST NOT HIDE OUR FACE FROM THE FACTS OF ISLAM.

To that I ask: How is it possible that any religion could be so influenced by irrational leaders that anyone would want to remain a part of it or ever listen to its teachers again???

ER if it was a judgment from God against the Christians and the Jews then why did he level it against countries filled with muslims, buddhists, and hindus?

(note: I am not saying it was a judgment from God against these people, just that it is illogical for God to punish Jews and Christians by destroying people of other religions. He would have sent the tsunami against Israel and the USA or Europe directly)

I think the guy was saying those countries were punished because they were popular tourist locations and they were acting immoral by mingling with western people blah blah blah. The guys obviously not all there is he?

But i dont think its correct to assume all muslims follow this view. Theres fanatical nuts in every religion. For all the muslims ive met personally, islam seems to bring out the best in them and they are happy with life. Islamic terrorists and jihad fighters are condemned by the muslim communities in developed countries.

Ah. makes more sense now. I was thinking "If God wanted to punish the Christians and Jews, he sure has bad aim."

Us Christians have our wacko's too. Just watch TBN.

Probably the same way that Christians would remain a part of Christianity, even after Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robertson revealed to the world that 9/11 was the fault of pagans, the ACLU, abortionists, feminists, gays, and the People For the American Way.

It's called "demonization." It happens ... and Christians are no more immune from it than are Muslims.

There has been a terrible persecution against christians in Indonesia,
incl torture, etc.

The western world is post christian and is as revolting to christians as it is to many moslems.
