Hi forum.I have a question.
The Bible appears to show one Great Day of the Lord in the bible. Revelation appears to be showing 3 endtime events, with the supper of the great God fulfilling ezekiel 39's "sacrificial meal on the mountains of Israel".
So are all 3 endtime events in revelation ONE event using different symbology for each, or 3 different Days of the Lord's? Help!!! Thanks and God bless.
Malachi 4:1 "For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the LORD of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch.
2 peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
reve 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [coming] out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, [which] go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Here are the 3 endtime events in revelation.
reve 14: 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw into the great winepress of the wrath of God. [i]20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
reve 19:17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather together for the supper of the great God,
reve 20:9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

"The great tribulation" will see calamities that will dwarf such troubles as WW1 & WW2. That event, the same as the day of Jehovah, ends with Armageddon, bringing to a close the last days of this wicked system.—2 Timothy 3:1-5, 13; Revelation 7:14; 16:14, 16.

BarryrobHi barryrob. Revelation shows both Tribulations then judgement and WRATH after the "2 witnesses" are taken up .
There is a 5 month period when the "locusts" are let out. That period is the same amount of time the flood of Noah covered the earth [gen 7:24] and how long it took Titus to take the Great City of Jerusalem.
These saints are also shown with the 7 angels with the bowls of wrath being poured out. Revelation 7:14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 15:1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. 2 And I saw [something] like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.

amos 5:18 Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD! For what good the day of the LORD to you? It [will be] darkness, and not light. [i]19 It [will be] as though a man fled from a lion, And a bear met him! Or [as though] he went into the house, Leaned his hand on the wall, And a serpent bit him! 20 not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light? [Is it not] very dark, with no brightness in it? If anyone christian readers would like to read thru revelation in the spirit and in Truth, they will see that after Jesus is taken up in chapt 12 the Temple is measured. Revelation is a "42 month" period of BOTHE tribulations then "rapture" then the Wraths. This all occurred in the first century on the wicked corrupt rulers of Jerusalem as prophecied. There is only one Great Day of the Lord in the Bible, and that is what revelation is showing, the curses of Deuteronomy 28 being poured out on the jews, sad but True. [just use a lexicon/concordance to look up "day of the Lord". It is on a country spiritually called "Egypt" which was Israel and still is to this day. Revelation 16:1Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath [#2372] of God."
Revelation 7:14 I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation [#2347], and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation [#2347], but take courage; I have overcome the world."
Mark 13:24 "But in those days, after that tribulation [#2347], THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT,
It is stated that those called in Paul’s message of grace will not go through the Great Tribulation period, because:
"Jesus, our Rescuer out of the coming indignation/Wrath" (I Thes. 1:10),
and
"God did not appoint us to indignation/Wrath ..." (I Thes. 5:9).
But look at our definitions of words again. God is promising to rescue us out of coming "indignation," not "tribulation." God did not appoint us to "indignation," but He did appoint us to "tribulation." These terms are not synonymous.
Straightening out the understanding of the Thessalonians (who decidedly did not know all about the day of the Lord) was the main purpose for Paul writing these two letters in the first place! Paul does not chastise the Thessallonians for believing wrong doctrine, or committing terrible sins, or lacking in faith. Not at all. But rather,
There are the Greek Scriptures on [i]indignation. Notice that it always comes from God. It is poured out in vengeance upon the unrepentant, the stubborn, the unjust and irreverent, those who worship the beast, etc. Never is God’s indignation poured out on His SAINTS! Not the Gentile saints and not the Jewish saints. The saints of Israel have not "been appointed to indignation", they are not "of the night," they will not "be overtaken as a thief," they are a part of "all the saints," I Thes. 2:14 and 3:13.
It nowhere says that God has not appointed us to trials, troubles, pain, suffering, heartache, disappointment, disease, death, or hurricanes! In fact, Paul himself, tells us that we enter the Kingdom of God by going through a whole lot of these things (Acts 14:22).
(9) Furthermore, Paul and those who accepted his message of grace are not appointed to "wrath" (I Thess. 5:9). There is a very important revelation concerning this escape from wrath in I Thessalonians 1:10. Paul and all the believers associated with him could look upon Jesus as their Deliverer or Rescuer from the coming indignation. This, in fact, is put into the past tense in the King James Version. That deliverance had already occurred for Paul when he wrote this epistle nineteen hundred years ago. It has been compared to the removal of someone from the pathway of an approaching storm, such as a hurricane. All of us have been removed from the pathway of these approaching troubles at the end of this age.
ANSWER: It is stated that the King James Version puts this rescue in the past tense. Well maybe they shouldn’t have. The American Standard Version puts it in the aorist tense, "... even Jesus, who delivereth us ..." [i]J. B. Rotherham has it, "... Jesus: Who is to rescue us out of the anger that is coming ..." And the Revised Standard Version also uses the aorist tense, "... Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come ..."
If this promise is "past tense," then it does not include anyone in the future for whom this rapture is supposedly promised. For just such reason, I believe, Mr. Knoch discovered a great key to the Scriptures in his understanding of the aorist tense of Greek verbs. Should John 3:16 be, "For God so loved [past tense] the world ..." or "For God thus loves (aorist--imperfect) the world ..."? It is the latter.
There is a failure here to discriminate between the Scriptural use of words. Notice in the second sentence the word "wrath." Then in the third sentence he uses the word "indignation." In the fifth sentence he uses the word "hurricane." And in the last sentence he uses the word "troubles." This can only cause confusion. The prophetic event known as "the indignation of almighty God" is a totally different prophetic event from "the great tribulation," also known as "Jacob’s trouble."
At this point in our discussion, it will be helpful to define some words that are often interchanged as if they are virtually one and the same. It is important that we understand the meanings of important words that are wrongly applied by those who teach the rapture:

Revelation 11:18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth." Hi all. I can't seem to get anyone to respond to this topic. Why does revelation show 3 different endtime wraths for the destruction of Jerusalem? Look at post below and give me your views if that is possible. I believe they are all one event, yes, even including Gog-Magog. Please help me out. Thanks.

Yes, you are very correct they are the same. I am glad that you have noticed this as should anyone who reads. The reasons for the confusion is not properly dividing the book of Revelation which is the following..
chapters 1-11
Re 10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
chapters 12-22
Also the judgements should look like this...
Seal 1 - Trumpet 1
Seal 2 - Trumpet 2 and so on
Thus these are the same as the vial judgemets
Angel 1 - Vial 1
Angel 2 - Vial 2 and so on.
This is why you see not only the destruction of Jerusalam more than once but several events. One need to ask how can the sun be blackened then later in the book be only smitten 1/3.
I have attach a further study. God bless.

Reve 14 is similar to Isaiah 5 and shows it is against Israel. Chapt 19 is the same event as Ezekiel 39 supper of God/sacrificial meal.
And who cannot read ezekiel 22 and relate that to the 4th bowl? What an awsome BOOK!!!!!
ezekiel 22:17 The word of the LORD came to me, saying, 18 "Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they [are] all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver. 19 "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 '[As men] gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt so I will gather [you] in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave [you there] and melt you. [i]21 'Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. 22 'As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; then you shall know that I, the LORD, have poured out My fury on you.' "
revelation 16:8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Which of couse is relating to Jerusalem. Let me know what you think.Hi Ross. Interesting read on your attachment. You are harmonizing it like I am though I use Ezekiel and Jeremiah a lot, so glad to see you are using Daniel to relate it to Jerusalem. The parable of the Rich Man[jews of Judah] and Lazarus is like revelation also.
Have you ever looked at this prophecy in Ezekiel on the Time of the Gentiles and compared it to what you have?. It shows the King of Babylon against Pharoah of Egypt. The last curse of Deut 28 shows Israel being taken back to Egypt in "ships" which means out of their "land".
Ezekiel 30:1 The word of the LORD came to me again, saying, 2 "Son of man, prophesy and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Wail, 'Woe to the day!' 3 For The Day [is] near, Even The Day of the LORD [is] near; It will be a day of clouds, the Time of the Gentiles/Nations. 4 The sword shall come upon Egypt, And great anguish shall be in Ethiopia, When the slain fall in Egypt, And they take away her wealth, And her foundations are broken down. 23 'I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them throughout the countries. 24 'I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand; but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he will groan before him with the groanings of a mortally wounded [man.] 25 'Thus I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I put My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt. 26 'I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries. Then they shall know that I [am] the LORD.' "
Ross's attachment on revelation THE SEVEN HEADS
Normally scholars want to include the four beasts along with Media, Persia, and Greece and come up with the seven heads but this would mean that these kings would have to exist over many centuries and as shown would counterdict scripture. If we look closely at the four beasts we see the seven heads !
Daniel’s Vision
Lion Has eagle wings Head #1
Bear Laying on it’s side Head #2
Leopard Has four Heads Head #3, #4, #5, #6
Beast Strong and terrible Head #7
Now, in Revelation 13 we are told that one of the seven heads of the beast has been wounded unto death but lives. What does this mean? Resurrection? Resuscitation? Which head is wounded? Again, the teachers of the day want us to think that a world dictator suffers a head wound but miraculously lives and thus the world now follows this man beast. There is no scriptural evidence for this line of thought!
Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of a great tree in Daniel chapter 4 gives us the answer. There we see this head of gold, the king, hew down and "wounded unto death" and "slain" and then the king becomes a "beast" of the field however he is later restored by the roots which is symbolic of the 10 kings.
The head of Nebuchadnezzar Image slain and restored;
Nebuchadnezzar’s Image
Head of Gold - Hew down and made a beast, dominion taken away.
Breast/Arms of silver
Bell/Thighs of brass
Legs/Feet/Iron Clay - Kingdom is restored by it’s roots (ten toes)
Dan. 4:14 "He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree (head of gold), and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches: Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots (10 toes) in the earth, even with a band iron and brass…".
Dan. 4:26 "And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule".
The head of the Beast slain and restored;
Satan’s Kingdom
Lion - Dominion taken away, Dan 7:12.
Bear
Leopard
Dragon - Kingdom is restored among his roots (ten kings).
Rev 13:3 "And I saw one of his heads (head #1, Lion) wounded to death and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast".
Dan 7:8 "I considered the horns (four beasts), and, behold, there came up among them a little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns (beasts) plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were the eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things".
We see in Rev. chapter 12 Satan and his kingdom being cast down ,"slain", just as it is seen in the image of Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar typified Satan and we need to understand that it was his kingdom and not himself which is slain. Thus as is the kingdom of Satan, the kingdom not a man is slain and appears to be rendered powerless. The world will follow the beast not because he has a literal head wound which has been healed but because they believe it is Jesus Christ, I mean who could make war with him…...
Also notice that the deadly head wound was to the first beast in Rev 13 not to the second beast. The first beast we identified as Satan and his kingdom and is not a man. However, this kingdom now will be restored under the second beast, the False Prophet, which is the little horn and a man.
Rev 13:12 "…which dwell therein to worship the FIRST BEAST, whose deadly wound was healed".
The head of God slain and restored;
God has also had a "head" wounded unto death. Who else is seen as a lion and was a "man" which has been slain and also lives and will be among his roots once restored? The Son of God.
Now let’s get the understanding of Rev. 17:10;
"And there are seven kings: five have fallen (Bear (1), Leopard (4)), and one is (Lion (1)) , and the other is not yet come (Dragon (1)), and when he (Dragon) cometh, he MUST continue a short space (continues for 42 months Rev. 13:5). And the beast that was (Lion), and is not (dominion taken away), even he is the eighth (little horn), and is of the seven (not seventh like most think remember the beast has seven heads). And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings….".
The battle for power of these seven kings can be seen in Daniel chapter 11.

Hi Ross. Interesting read on your attachment. You are harmonizing it like I am though I use Ezekiel and Jeremiah a lot, so glad to see you are using Daniel to relate it to Jerusalem. The parable of the Rich Man[jews of Judah] and Lazarus is like revelation also.

Yes of couse, they foretell the same event. I believe people limit the scriptures to either current day or to a future event. They fail to see the word of God is not limited and prophecy not only have current applications but future as well..
In Christ, Mark.

Thanks ross. That is how I look at it as it is not a worldwide destruction, but a GREAT CITY HARLOT. Why do people believe it is future for the whole world???
21 'Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst.

In Christ, Mark.Again, here are the 3 endtime events showing in revelation for discussions [not even mentioning the "resurrections" that are showing also]The Day of Christ was to happen just one time and when Daniel 12 would be fulfilled. I and many others view revelation as the destruction of Jerusalem and thus the fulfilling of Luke 21:22. God bless. [i]Here are the 3 endtime events in revelation.
reve 14: 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw [it] into the great winepress of the wrath of God[Isaiah 5/NT parable of the Vineyard]. 20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
reve 19:17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather together for the supper of the great God[Ezekiel 39],
reve 20:9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
