Hi all. Has anyone looked at these events in revelation yet? It appears the "2 witnesses" taken up in a cloud could be the "same event"? as the One on a Cloud in chapt 14. After the 2 witnesses are taken up, it shows judgement, reward and destruction coming(grapes of wrath chapt 14)
revelation 11:11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.
reve 14:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat [One] like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.
Also the 1000yr period of satan being bound and cast into the pit appear to be 2 seperate events. It appears it would make more sense for Satan to be cast into the pit first, then released for the Wraths then bound for the ages of ages. It actually shows the saints with the angels that have the 7 bowls filled with the "plagues". Interesting.
Revelation 20:3 and he "cast him" into the bottomless pit, and "shut him up", and "set a seal on him", so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. 4
Revelation 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number as the sand of the sea.
Revelation 9:1 Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace.
Revelation 15:1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. [i]2 And I saw [something] like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark
Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is [the] Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;3

Yes, i agree, it is interesting.
As to two witnesses in Revelation, i believe they will be born soon, they will be born over 15-20 years, with 3 years' difference between their ages.

But the Lamb has already been crucified, and the "temple of God" with worshippers in it is being measured either before or after this event, so it would appear to be the same "temple" that was around when Jesus was "taken up" to God's throne in chapt 12, correct? After the 2 witnesses are taken up, the judgement, reward and destruction of the wicked come.reve 11:17 saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. 18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth." Of course this is all symbolic, but if this is the destruction of Jerusalem in the first century, what is the "resurrection" in chapt 20? I feel the "2 witnesses" are the saints themselves who have the Word of God and Testimony of Jesus, because they are shown "in heaven" [after having VICTORY over the BEAST in chapt 11] before the wraths are poured out!! Revelation 15:1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. 2 And I saw [something] like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, The Great Mystery of God would have to be the "resurrection" and fufillment of 1 corin 1523 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those [who are] Christ's at His coming. 24 Then [comes] the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
revelation 11:11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." Hi. If Jesus only returns ONCE for salvation, I would like to know how futurists look at this verse in revelation [some futurists insist there is a "rapture" of the church before the tribulations, but revelation only shows ONE rapture right here and this is BEFORE the WRATHS of the 7 bowls are poured out and Grapes of Wrath are put into the Winepress of the Wrath of God. Can someone please help me out on this? Thanks.
Now, if one considers the fact that Acts 1:11 is speaking of the parousia (though the word "parousia" is not used in the text), then we have: (1) Jesus saying that Acts 1:11 would occur, be fulfilled, in "this (first century) generation," and (2) James saying that Acts 1:11 is at hand in respect to time about A.D.60. What further proof is needed to show that the parousia (Acts 1:11) was at hand than a direct scriptural reference that uses both terms, "parousia" and "engus" in the same text? Any interpretation of Acts 1:11 that fails to honor the time limitations for the parousia is not "exegesis" but "eisegesis"! The only escape is to deny that Acts 1:11 is speaking of the parousia. Are we ready for that?
Reve 14:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat [One] like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
Acts 1: “And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. They also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.’”

Hi all. Can anyone show me in revelation where it shows Christ coming back "physically in the flesh" or how He might appear after being taken up in Acts 1. PM me if you are having trouble seeing it. Any verse will do as I am having trouble finding that. Thanks. [And yes, I am a full preterist and see revelation as the destruction of Jerusalem in the first century and saw this the second time I read the bible through. Fantastic study BTW!!]

Hi all. I would like more views on satan "bound", cast into the pit then let loose. Doesn't it appear that he is being let loose in chapt 9? If so, what does the "binding" of him for a 1000yrs represent, then throwing him into the pit for another 1000yrs. Is he bound then cast in, or are these 2 different events. At what period would he have been bound in revelation?
Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is [the] Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;3
Revelation 20:3 and he "cast him" into the bottomless pit, and "shut him up", and "set a seal on him", so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. 4

I found this interesting. Chapt 20 and chapt 6 are the only 2 places in revelation that show these 2 words together so I put it up for discussion on a few boards.
Chapt 6 shows God telling the "dead" saints/souls to rest a little while longer until the number of their fellow servants should be "killed" was completed.
In chapt 20 it shows satan released for that same "short period" of time. Does this means there are saints still alive after satan is released [this is before the 1000yr period in chapt 6]Revelation is one whole event, so I don't really even look at that "1000yr" period as even being in there [otherewise it wouldn't make any sense]. Interesting.Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years[/B], 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little[#3398] while[#5550"].
revel 6:11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little[#3398] while[#5550] longer, until both [the number of] their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they [were,] was completed. season 5550 chronos {khron'-os} of uncertain derivation; TDNT - 9:581,1337; n m AV - time 33, season 4, while 2, a while 2, space 2, oftentimes + 4183 1, not tr 5, misc 4; 53 1) time either long or short For Synonyms see entry 5853
