I get a great deal of joy making you guys laugh. I really do. I apparently made Justin (Wiccan) spit out whatever he was drinking earlier tonight. I think I've made LakeGeorgeMan laugh on occasion. Maybe some of you others, too. Much as I enjoy it, my spiritual mentor at my church has made it clear to me what my priorities are, and I'm really short-changing myself and my family if I don't have these priorities in order.

My first priority is my ministry to God. The sceptics will pooh-pooh this; let them. There are times in the past when I've felt solid, unshakable, and these are times that I've regularly committed a part of my day to studying God's Word and prayer. I haven't had these times in quite a while, and it's time for me to get back on solid ground.

My second priority is ministry to the needs of my wife and children.

My third priortiy, which is closely related to my second, is the ministry of gainful employ. I am painfully aware of what the Bible says about the man who cannot support his own family. I am in a bit of a pickle right now-- Jade's not here, and the burden of watching the kids is fully on my shoulders. Due to this suituation, I have been forced to reach out to my church for financial assistance. When Jade returns, I will find work, and have even less opportunity to post here.

My fourth priority is ministry to my church. My men listing these priorities in this order really impressed me. Someone seeking to swell the coffers of his orginization might well have listed the church second, or even first. I do plan to become active in my church's ministry once I have the above priorities straightened out.

So, I can't say this is a complete end to posting, but you will see less of me (I'm sure there are those who would see this as an unqualified improvement). I expect when I do post that the posts will improve in quality. Some of my posts lately have been downright misanthropic, and I have no business hating what God Himself loves. Hopefully after some time beholding the glory of God as in a mirror, others will be able to see His imprint on my life.

And with that, I say, 'til next time, TWebbers!

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you well. God bless you.

Love,
Joan of Arc

P.S. Don't leave us forever. That would be very sad. And keep us updated if anything major happens.

- I, for one, will not pooh-pooh this at all. I'm between jobs myself! I hope you get everything set right for you and your family in short order. :thumb: Which means you can come back in short order too.

You knew my father?

Anyway, God bless BV, I'll forgive you for letting your Xanga blog fall by the wayside too. All the best to you and yours, and see you around the superhighway.

Enjoy the time off - and use it well! We'll miss you but you're right, those things are more important. Keep us updated on how Jade and you are doing, okay?
God bless!

I understand the time you needed to spend here as well as the decision you're making now, BV. TWeb has been a haven and a sanctuary for me and for many...so I hope you're not regretting any of the time spent with us...it's been part of your own healing.

I applaud your decision. I had to beat my husband over the head with a 2x4 to get him to adjust his priorities when I needed him last year. It wasn't that he didn't care...it was just that it was really tough to try to convince him that he really couldn't do EVERYTHING at once and do it all well!

You will remain in my prayers...and you should consider listening to the music I sent you for Jade...now it's for both of you.

I think I've made LakeGeorgeMan laugh on occasion.

Yes, you certainly did. You have a clever and quick wit, and you don't take yourself, or others, too seriously. All attributes I admire.

My second priority is ministry to the needs of my wife and children.

I would drop the Christian babble words like "ministry", and simply realize that your FIRST priority right now should be to the needs of your family and yourself.

Instead of posting about it, I would encourage you to get off Tweb right now, COLD TURKEY, and not come back for at least a month. Take all the time you spend here, and spend it on improving yourself and your family's condition.

Stop wasting time here spamming, or trying to make people laugh, or trying to impress your wife with cheesy internet Alumnus elections, and instead go write her a love poem, go educate yourself about her condition, go speak to her doctors, go develop a plan for how you can improve your realtionship and help her recover. Go find work. Go spend some time with your kids.

I will make a pact with you to do the same.

I will not post here for the next month starting today.
