Shamans: Kids, just say no

This is magnificent, Justin! I'll have to show this to my friends.

There's a lot of in-jokes, so don't be too surprised if non-Pagans look at you funny. But this is just awesome! My sides still hurt!

I was suprised there were so many kinds of Paganism as well.
Reads like a directory of Protestant churches.

We're not quite so quick to schism over an iota.

Er ... um ... OK, I have to fess up: we are. Like Christians, we'll fight over just about anything. Ask twelve Pagans what they want on a pizza, you're likely to get fifteen different opinions.

When talking to well-meaning Christians, the inevitable question arises:

"So, you guys are in a cult?"

My response:

"I wish! We aren't that organized!"

Best of the best:

Celtic Tradition:
Bloody bog trotters and sheep shaggers!
Discordians:
No, no, no, no, no! First you cast the circle, then you fill the bathtub with brightly coloured East German power tools, only after all that do you give your offerings to Eris! Keep to the structure people! (I think I'll steal this one for my new sig over at Wicca Forums).
Ronald Hutton:
It's an unbroken tradition you say? Okay, I'll take your word for it.
Fam. trad:
Yes, Ron Hutton - nice guy, excellent research.
Fluffy bunny:
I read this in a book and just had to validate it by cross-referencing it against this academic journal... (Poor fluffies, they get no peace!)
Gerald Gardner:
For Gods' sakes, put your clothes back on!
New Agers:
I think Glastonbury's crap.
No, one of my past lives was not in Atlantis.
I was no-one special in a past life.
Call me fluffy, and I'll BLOODY KILL YOU!!! (Poor fluffies, they get no peace!)
Silver Ravenwolf:
Let's keep a sense of proportion and dignity in our magic. (Poor fluffies, they get no peace!)

My personal favorite (and a phrase I'd like all pagan writers to repeat a few times before bed each nite):

I'd better read up on that before I write a book about it...

And as a Druid I must officially and whole-heartedly agree with all the 'Druidry' ones except that

"Druidry: No cider for me, thanks."

should be changed to

"Druidry: No alcohol for me, thanks."

because a druid will turn down cider if it's virgin.

I have alot of love for Crowley's way of doing ceremonial magick
I had no idea though that the current state of the OTO was filled with goth fodder for Jhonnen Vasquez to make fun of....

The wicca area (and the world religion forum itself) is for theist only.
