A few things that interest me are:
1. The vision of Jesus as the future king-priest Isaiah 6:1, Numbers 14:21, Psalm 8.
2. Did Isaiah prophesy ch.1-5 before his call in Isaiah 6? My tentative answer - yes.
3. The significance of the seraphim Isaiah 6:2. Are the seraphim also fulfilled by Christ? - my tentative answer - yes, as the cherubim of the Most Holy Place and Ezekiel 1 are fulfilled in Christ. Also, what is the meaning of their wings, and in what way are the seraphim different to cherubim, etc.
4. NT allusions to Isaiah 6, eg Matthew 13, John 12, ie some aspects of the fulfilment of Isaiah 6 in Christ's ministry.
5. The enigmatic summary of Isaiah's and Christ's preaching in Isaiah 6:9-10, quoted in Matthew 13, John 12, Acts 28 compared with the simplicity, beauty, strength of their preaching, and the effectiveness of their preaching amongst their disciples.
6. The greatness, not only of Isaiah, but the book and words of Isaiah, the "5th gospel", the greatest of the writing prophets.

My tentative answer to item 2
2. Did Isaiah prophesy ch.1-5 before his call in Isaiah 6?
Yes. Isaiah was given the vision of the kingdom in Isaiah 2 and also of the earthquake. This prophecy appears to be before the earthquake during Uzziah's reign Zechariah 14:5, which I assume was some years before Uzziah's death. The book of Isaiah appears to be sequential. Isaiah having commenced his work as a prophet during Uzziah's reign, appears to be called to a greater role, being given a vision of the Most Holy, and being humbled and cleansed. As a result he also assumed the role vacated by Zechariah the prophet to Uzziah in his earlier years. Isaiah is revealed as the prophet to the king, perhaps Jotham, but especially Ahaz and Hezekiah.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Trevor

Every vision looks at the day of the cross, Every one of them. The Seraphims are the first picture of the day of the cross seen as 4 6-hour periods, or as 4 beasts with 6-wings. Revelation is looking at the day of the cross, Compare what John saw to what Isaiah saw. John was in the spirit on the Lord’s day or looking at the day of the cross.

(REVELATION 4:7) And the first beast was like a lion, and the
second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man,
and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. (KJV)
(REVELATION 4:8) And the four beasts had each of them six wings
about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day
and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was,
and is, and is to come. (KJV)

(ISAIAH 6:2) Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings;
with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet,
and with twain he did fly. (KJV)
(ISAIAH 6:3) And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy,
holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. (KJV)

Then add what Ezekiel saw, a Ox and a Calf have the same face.

(EZEKIEL 1:10) As for the likeness of their faces, they four had
the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and
they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also
had the face of an eagle. (KJV)
(EZEKIEL 1:18) As for their rings, they were so high that they were
dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. (KJV)

Daniel saw four beasts also. Each vision which is a Similitude for the day of the cross is a little different then the other, Depending on whose eyes are seeing it. The day of the cross is made as three pictures, first as 4 6-hour periods, second as 2 12-hour periods, third as 1 24 hour period, as 4 beasts with 6-wings, as 2 witnesses, as 24 Elders.

(HOSEA 13:7) Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard
by the way will I observe them: (KJV)
(HOSEA 13:8) I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her
whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I
devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them. (KJV)

Hosea’s Leopard is in the Second Spot, Daniel’s leopard is in the third spot.

(JEREMIAH 13:23) Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard
his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do
evil. (KJV)

When you look backwards at the 4 6-hour periods, and another is looking from the past into the future, the 4 beasts change spots, The first becomes the last, and the last becomes the first and the bear and leopard change spots.

The Third seal or Sunrise to noon is the Black Horse with Balances. Old Heaven and old earth, the first 2 6-hour periods flee from His Face, seen as the Face of a man on the third beast with 6-wings. So the Judgment now turns to the great WHITE throne of Judgment or from black to white. Like the Skin of an Ethiopian changing.

Pale horse or fourth seal is noon to sunset, Death followed by hell as Jesus died and descended into hell.

(NEHEMIAH 9:22) Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and
didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of
Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king
of Bashan. (KJV)

The day of the cross as 4 Kingdoms, or the 4 corners of the earth, The Feet is the first 6-hours, 10 Disciples as toes, Peter and Judas as the Heels. Daniel is seeing the Kingdoms backwards. The day as 7 time periods is as Silver tried in the fire 7 times, the day as three pictures is as Gold, so when the four 6-hour periods are complete, they form the first of three pictures of Gold, so the head of Gold is the first 4 6-hour periods complete, Or what Nebuchadnezzar saw,

Jesus is the Street, The Street is seen in the three pictures, so the Street is paved with Gold or seen three times.

(ISAIAH 51:23) But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict
thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over:
and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to
them that went over. (KJV)

The first picture Jesus is the Street for the living, the Second picture as a street for the dead, the third picture as a Street to go to Heaven. As the day is seen as three pictures, the STREET has to be built again. or seen again.

(DANIEL 9:25) Know therefore and understand, that from the going
forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the
Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two
weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in
troublous times. (KJV)

The 144 with Judas, seen as a wall in Revelation 21:17. They added the Cubit, the Measure of a man which makes them as Angels, or the angels given charge over Jesus. As Ezekiel said in that day every wall would fall. When Jesus said I am He, they went backwards and fell to the ground. Multiplied by 1,000 in Deuteronomy 1:11= 144,000 with Jesus on the Mount. They are Virgins, The Body of Christ born the day of the cross as Psalms 2:6/7 shows, this fulfills the prophecy for the Virgin Birth, all prophecies are also fulfilled the day of the cross.

Daniel saw a vision of the Evening and Morning which was for Many days, in this case, Daniel is seeing the day of the cross as 70 weeks.

The whole book of Isaiah is written out on my web page with most the Similitudes God uses explained. God uses that which is despised, if you are easily offended, Don’t even think of going to the web site.

Howdy Ken,

Greetings. Ken wrote:

> "Every vision looks at the day of the cross, Every one of them."

I disagree with this as many prophesy of the glory that would follow Christ's sufferings.
1 Peter 1:10-11 (KJV): "10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow."

There are a range of views on the Kingdom of God, but my belief is that Jesus will return and establish his kingdom on earth, reigning on the throne of David from Jerusalem. The following I take as future and literal, and this is clearly stated as a vision.
Isaiah 2:1-4 (KJV): "1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."

TrevorL.

Scriptures interlock. And as all prophecies, all visions, all similitudes are for the day of the cross, Here goes:

(LUKE 18:31) Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them,
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by
the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. (KJV)

(ISAIAH 2:1) The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning
Judah and Jerusalem. (KJV)
(ISAIAH 2:2) And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the
mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the
mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations
shall flow unto it. (KJV)

The day of the cross is all the Sevens in the Book of Revelation. The day made as seven days in Isaiah 30:26. Only the day of the cross fits that verse when God heals His people “With His Stripes we are Healed.”

There are Seven mountains in Revelation. The first picture as 4 6-hour periods. That as 4 mountains. The Second as 2 12-hour periods that is the fifth and sixth mountain. The third picture as 1 24-hour period, that is the Seventh mountain.

The day is Doubled Twice as it is ESTABLISHED by God, Seen once, Doubled and seen again, Doubled twice and seen as the final mountain, or the day as 1 24-hour period. Seen as 24 Elders in Revelation. This third picture is where the Mountain of the Lord’s house is ESTABLISHED in the top of the mountains.

The day of the cross is where God builds the House, seen as the seven time periods.

(PROVERBS 9:1) Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her
seven pillars: (KJV)

(PROVERBS 24:3) Through wisdom is an house builded; and by
understanding it is established: (KJV)
(PROVERBS 24:4) And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with
all precious and pleasant riches. (KJV)

First picture is Wisdom, seeing the day as seven time periods, Second picture is Understanding which ESTABLISHES, or seeing the day as three pictures. As 2 or 3 Witnesses. Twice spoken, then third witness is being brought to pass. always written as (2 or 3). Third picture is seeing where the pieces of the prophecies fit.

The Body of Christ, which is the House wherein we dwell, Consumes all mankind into that Body, The Body born the day of the cross, where all prophecies are fulfilled.

(PSALMS 2:6) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. (KJV)
(PSALMS 2:7) I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me,
Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee. (KJV)
(PSALMS 2:8) Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine
inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. (KJV)

Even the Heathen are in the Body of Christ. Jesus said all the Father would give Him, SHALL come unto Him, and whosoever cometh unto Him, He will in no wise cast out.

Also in Old Testament Scripture that He would not forsake His inheritance (the Heathen).

The Hills seen as the 144 with Judas. Jesus had to be taken and Crucified to fulfill Scripture and bring in everlasting salvation upon mankind.

(PSALMS 121:1) I Will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence
cometh my help. (KJV)
(PSALMS 121:2) My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and
earth. (KJV)

All the events are seen in Prophecy. The events foreordained of God. When Jesus told Judas “Judas, Betrayeth thou the Son of Man with a Kiss.” the ones who wrote the translations added a Question Mark. For they thought it was Jesus asking a question.

But “Kiss the Son, Lest He be Angry.” is a prophecy. And the day as three pictures is 1=Anger, 2=Fury, 3=Wrath. Pictures the day of the cross, not Attributes of God, So when God pours out His Fury, it is looking at the Second picture. As He has to be seen as Angry. Judas hesitated. And Jesus COMMANDED Judas “Judas, Betrayeth thou the Son of Man with a kiss!” Jesus knowing this has to be done.

So Jonah who is a Similitude for Jesus, Nineveh being a city of three days journey, Jonah enters one days journey, Is GOOD to be ANGRY unto Death. Anger being the first picture. Jesus had to die, The Gourd being death:

(2KINGS 4:39) And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and
found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full,
and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them
not. (KJV)
(2KINGS 4:40) So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to
pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and
said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could
not eat thereof. (KJV)

The Shadow of the Gourd, or the Shadow of Death was pleasant. After all the Suffering. Jesus as a Worm:

(JOB 25:6) How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man,
which is a worm? (KJV)

Smites the Gourd or ends Death.

The House of the God of Jacob is the Fourth 6-hour period, the time of Jacob’s troubles. Jesus wrestles with a man, or has to allow Himself to die, Wrestles with Self-preservation. He does allow Himself to die, then Esau comes, Esau is Edom, Edom seen as a Desolate Wilderness, or the time Jesus is dead. God hated Esau or the time Jesus had to be separated because of sin, and die. Over Edom the shoe is cast out, we are now on Holy Ground because Jesus took away the sin of the world..

Wilderness is the Day of the cross, it is the name of the HOUSE being built. Jesus was carried by the Spirit to the Wilderness or to the day of the cross, and what the book of Revelation is showing is what Jesus was shown THEN, to show unto His servants, Things which would shortly come to pass, or go and teach the Disciples for three and a half years. Then the Wilderness or day of the cross will come to pass. Desolate wilderness is when Jesus is dead that day.

(JOB 39:6) Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren
land his dwellings. (KJV)

(JOEL 3:19) Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a
desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of
Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. (KJV)

Egypt is the Fourth Burden in Isaiah. it is noon to sunset. God calls His Son out of Egypt as Jesus commends His Spirit unto God. Fourth beast with 6-wings is like a flying Eagle as His Spirit leaves the Body. We are converted as Children then

(HOSEA 11:1) When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called
my son out of Egypt. (KJV)

Jacob or Jesus got the name Israel when He was a grown man. He RETURNS to His YOUTH while He is on the Cross. So THEN Israel is a Child, and can be called out of Egypt likened to the world.

(JOB 33:22) Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life
to the destroyers. (KJV)
(JOB 33:23) If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one
among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness: (KJV)
(JOB 33:24) Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him
from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom. (KJV)
(JOB 33:25) His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall
return to the days of his youth: (KJV)
(JOB 33:26) He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto
him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto
man his righteousness. (KJV)

33:22, Jesus on the Cross, 33:23/24, the prophecy for the one called the Good Thief (Jesus has all sin) His standing up for Jesus got Jesus as RANSOM from dying by the pardon offered in Jeremiah 5:1. So Jesus tells him “Today, thou shall be with Me in Paradise.” He later reviled Jesus also. NO pardon. Jesus has the UNPARDONABLE sin, He has to DIE.

The one called the Good Thief changing his testimony (Matthew 27:44) was also foretold in prophecy.

(PSALMS 142:4) I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was
no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. (KJV)

Refuge or the Ransom can not be gotten. No Pardon. The Good thief was on His RIGHT HAND.

(PSALMS 49:7) None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor
give to God a ransom for him: (KJV)

Jesus has to die for sin. He has all Future sins upon Himself. Past and present sins ended “With His stripes we are healed.” Then Jesus takes Future sin, or for the Overspreading of Abominations (all future sins on Christ) He shall make it desolate (Jesus has to die) Even unto the Consummation, and that being determined, shall be poured upon the Desolate.

Or Jesus, and all mankind in Christ is CONSUMED in Righteousness:

(ISAIAH 10:22) For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the
sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed
shall overflow with righteousness. (KJV)

Jesus is the Remnant. Which is the Body of Christ. with the Heathen also in that body.

(ISAIAH 45:8) Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies
pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring
forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the
Lord have created it. (KJV)

All concerning Jesus, all had to be fulfilled when He went up to Jerusalem

Out of Zion goes forth the law

All being fulfilled the day of the cross.

(ISAIAH 2:3) And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us
go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of
Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his
paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the
Lord from Jerusalem. (KJV)

Those taken out of hell did not know the Lord, So they talk of Jesus teaching them HIS WAYS.

(HOSEA 6:2) After two days will he revive us: in the third day he
will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. (KJV)
(HOSEA 6:3) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord:
his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto
us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. (KJV)

(ISAIAH 2:4) And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke
many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and
their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword
against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. (KJV)

Those out of hell, Going Home to heaven to be with God. As Arrows shot forth, as Children. They are the ones that beat their swords into plowshares. For they are now at Heaven’s gate speaking to any who do not know, or want to know God, of God’s love and Mercy, and the Sacrifice Jesus made for them.

Hell ceased to exist on the third day. Which is also seen as the Third picture or the day as 1 24-hour period.

Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by

reve 20: 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them.

Matthew 19:28 And, Jesus, said unto them--Verily, I say unto you, As for you who followed me in the regeneration, When the Son of Man shall take his seat on his throne of glory, ye also, shall be seated upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

InChristAlways.

(MATTHEW 19:28) And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you,
That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of
man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon
twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (KJV)

God speaks in Similitudes, Through Jesus in parables.

This is for the day of the cross. All judgement falls on Jesus, He takes the sin of the world, so the Judgment for Israel also falls on Jesus. And the Judgment is Similar.

Israel was to remain separate. No marriages with non-Jews. No eating with them. Etc.

Jesus is reaching for Non-Jews, He said in the Sermon on the Mount, Not to enter into a town of the Samaritans. But Jesus as He grows in love reaches for all mankind. He said not to give that which is Holy unto Dogs, But latter seeing the Woman’s faith, He heals her daughter.

(MATTHEW 15:26) But he answered and said, It is not meet to take
the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. (KJV)
(MATTHEW 15:27) And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the
crumbs which fall from their masters' table. (KJV)
(MATTHEW 15:28) Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman,
great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her
daughter was made whole from that very hour. (KJV)

For a Jew to reach for or make a marriage with a non-Jew was whoredom under the law.

There are ten disciples who fled from the Mount of Olives, and Peter who denied Jesus in the palace.

(PSALMS 38:19) But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong:
and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. (KJV)

They are multiplied by 1,000 in Deuteronomy 1:11.. BECAUSE they hate Jesus without a cause, They hate Jesus reaching for Non-Jews. That is why they did not ask Jesus why He spoke to the Woman at the well, and why they asked Jesus to send away the Woman called a Dog. Even later they argued with those who went to Non-Jews to share the Gospel.

(PSALMS 91:7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand
at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. (KJV)

Peter and the 10 on The Mount of Olives, Hated Jesus without a cause, and were multiplied, and fell. Judas did not hate Jesus, Not seen multiplied, Not seen as fallen.

(PSALMS 55:12) For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I
could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did
magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: (KJV)

(REVELATION 17:12) And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten
kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as
kings one hour with the beast. (KJV)

These are the 10 Disciples, they get their hour on the Mount of Olives. A Lamb is a beast of the field.

(REVELATION 17:16) And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the
beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and
naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. (KJV)

They hate Jesus reaching for Non-Jews, They desert Jesus or make Her desolate or naked. They eat Her flesh (Take, Eat, this is My Body). God’s word like as a fire, they fulfill God’s word, (Smite the Shepherd and the Sheep will be scattered.)

Jesus is David’s son, Reborn to Mary, this is the Regeneration, when Jesus ministers, and the throne of Glory is a Cross at Golgotha. The day is also seen as 7 time periods seen as 3 pictures, all seen as days, Also seen as 10 Generations. Regenerations. to fulfill the law in Deuteronomy 23:2. A Child born outside wedlock could not enter the congregation till the tenth generation.
