The Wolf and the Lamb shall Feed Together
Many futurist insist that the wolf and the lamb must feed together before we are considered to be in the New Heaven and earth. Saul "Paul" was like a wolf killing Christians before he was converted. Paul was of the tribe of Benjamin, which Benjamin was considered to be as a ravenous wolf. Paul also was like a wolf before meeting the Lamb of God. After that Paul did feed with the Lamb, perphaps fulfilling scripture.
Genisis 49:27 "Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; In the morning he shall devour the prey, And at night he shall divide the spoil."
Romans 11:1
I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, [of] the tribe of Benjamin.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together,
So who to say Isaiah wolf and lamb have not feed together, but then the futurist view is literal as always.
It is no doubt a reference to a change of nature, but not literally in animals 2500 years off into the future.
The ravenous nature of the lion and wolf is well-known, which Saul of Tarsus is a good example.
But, just as important, is the implication of timidity in the lamb being changed to the point of being fearless in the presence of the lion, wolf, or snake, which is fulfilled by the cheerful martyrdom of the saints who refused to pledge allegiance to the State and Caesar as Lord with a pinch of incense for about 250 years in the Roman arenas, until the Church was enticed to become incorporated under Caesar Constantine.
So, the imagery paints a picture of the Body of Christ as the fulfillment of the Hope of Israel.
Sadly, futurists seem too carnal-mined to get this clear imagery.
