But 'we' say '...we are...'. God says '...I am...'. And if each is made in God's image - as was Adam - and we are not individually 'three distinct persons', then how do you figure that God is three distinct persons in and of Himself (as opposed to themselves)?

Yes....I agree. [We] makes 'one' out of a group. But that's 'one group'. Each individual within that group, however, is 'one' and NOT three distinct persons yet 'one' person. Remember, when God created Adam there were no 'other' persons around to make a 'family unit'. So...if Adam was created in God's image and likeness, and he was created as [one], then God is indeed [One] Himself. That is, 'Himself' - and NOT 'themselves'. Get it...?

Also, it seems that you are trying to make a part of God 'female'. While I would agree that there is a 'feminine' aspect to creation, I would not ascribe to God this aspect. Perhaps the 'earth' as described in Gen.1:2 - that which is [not] God. But not to God Himself.

The pre-formed 'earth' as described in Gen.1:2 is the 'womb' from which creation was formed and from which Adam was brought forth - i.e., the 'feminine' aspect. You know....'mother' earth???

Hmmm....that is interesting. I never noticed the 'her' in that verse - Rev.22:2. That is interesting indeed! I'll have to ponder that awhile. Speaking of the 'choas' - yes, this is the earth 'preformed'. The 'womb' as I call it. 'Light' entered in and brought order and finally 'sabbath'. I agree that chaos is the underlying reality of creation - and also that which re-emerged at the fall. When Adam sinned creation was breached and the underlying 'chaos' seeped out.

I agree with your 'order' of creation by the way. I just count the 'God personified', or the Kingdom 'prefigured' part, as the reality behind the 'heaven' that was created in Gen. 1:8, since the expanse was caused by the 'light' that came from above.

But I still don't buy into the doctrine of the trinity - simply because of the fact that God - the source - is one before creation was. Mother and child are connected to creation.

Yes....from above. Notice God said from where He was at '...let [there] be light...'. Light went from God into the earth - into the 'darkness that covered' specifically. Physical light was not created til the fourth day. The 'light' of the first day was 'Wisdom' - Proverbs 8:22-36. This was the light of the world, and of every man.
