Okay, For those of you folks who remember, I went to bible school many many moons ago back when I was studying to be a minister, and long story short, I got severely burned by the christians there.
Now I did the whole "Go back to show the place they did not kill me" I made amends and essentially Laid that demon to rest, yes I am angry about what happened but for the most part, it's been finished and made into the past.
Okay SINCE I became a pagan I have had several dreams about Me going back to this bible college as a Student and as a Pagan.
No Joke...I have had several dreams where I was either a student there, or I was trying to get back into the school and I actually succeeded in doing so.
(THis is highly unlikely since this place is UBER pentecostal.)
I am stumped, Usually I know what I dream and why, but this time I am really stumped.
and I could use some of My fellow pagans wisdom and even some snarky-ness to kind of help me sort through it.
Why the heck am I dreaming of going back as a Pagan and a Student?
Any other answers I would appreciate.

What were you studying for as a Christian? One can be called to study as Pagan or Christian Clergy..

Would you object to some imput from me, even though I'm (technically) no longer Pagan?
If no--cool. If so, I'll ask a mod to delete this post.

Depends on how you use the term 'pagan' I suppose. I for one, think it's quite possible to be a Christian and a pagan at the same time. :smug:

Dur: I was actually studying to go into the Ministry either as a Missionary or as a pastor. I have been in "Pagan Ministry" as a HP but that kind of fell apart on me.
The troubling part is that The dreams keep bringing me back to the campus and I keep getting accepted into the school...
Cup of Mystery: I guess I could hear what you think.

Well, I'm actually thinking that what I'm about to say is not going to come as a surprise.
Cu, when you were going to seminary, you were going there to get the tools to serve God--OK, you understood God in a different context then (just as I do now), but that was your purpose. And I'm guessing that you figured the best way you could serve God was serving the people around you. You may have been turned off of Christiantiy specifically because of the behavior of the Christians while you were there, but I have the feeling that the desire to serve the Creator--and to serve the people around you--hasn't changed.
This is what the dream is trying to tell you--you may no longer be a Christian, but that "calling" is still there. So get off your behind and get into a Clergy training program of some sort!

And, as a Pagan, I agree with A Cup of Mystery. Just because you're a Pagan does not mean that you can't (or shouldn't) put yourself into service to the Gods, your community, and yourself.
Dreaming of school is a message about the lessons we are learning in life. To dream of attending a school from the past means that you need to take into consideration those lessons learned and apply them to your current life.
Your path has shifted since the time of your schooling there - you've moved from Christianity to Paganism. That doesn't mean, however, that the lessons that school was providing need to be tossed out the door: like A Cup of Mystery said, your calling is still there.

Remember that in dreams we put our desires/needs into a context we can understand. Familiar settings can represent deeper truths. A need or your part to study in pagan clergy or to join a more liberal seminary (Star King perhaps) would be shown by your brain using the only seminary it knows. Just a thought.

Dreams are only meaningful to the dreamer, they are just gibberish to others without the proper context. However, based what you have written, I will take a tentative swing.
At seminary you were a beginer, starting a serious education about a religion. It was an experience that you began with great hope (?) and obviously ended bitterly.
There are no pagan seminaries that I know of so I am guessing you are now studying paganism serously but on your own or in some far less formal setting than a seminary. However, the closest parallel experience you have had to what you are doing now is saminary. You have merely replaced Christ with some other god or gods (maybe Arawn, Brigid, Danu, & Morgan?).
The question now is, what does that mean? Maybe it means that the this new education will fulfill the hopeful start at the Christian seminary that you lost. Then it is a dream about pursuing and finding your dreams.
However maybe you began Christian seminary with a false hope, on a pretense. Were you pressured to join by family? Did you enter hoping to find answers to questions that no human teacher could provide. Did you enter to avoid problems elsewhere in life. The dream might be saying you are setting your self up for the same disappointment with a different set of fellows and gods.
Of course, both of these could be true at the same time (dreams are like that). It could be saying the possibility exists for you to succeed where seminary failed you in your new religion but only if you learn the lessons of the seminary (maybe not the lessons they wanted you to learn, but the ones you need to learn but have not yet). Nice little ironic touch to that one.
Of course this could all be wrong since it is not really possible to analyze a dream with that little information. However, if the dream keeps recurring, it is telling you something that you need to know but do not.
