Sheesh, half a day without an internet connection and TheologyWeb and I go mad with boredom. So I use my image editor to make things I have to make.

Then I go crazy with the thing.

That hasn't been my experience with Hamsters...then again...looking at these images, perhaps I should be afraid...very afraid.

Peace,

You have to spoil a hamster. You will get nothing in return except knowledge that you're pampering a fuzzy rodent. :evilhamster:

Why does Mononoke call you Rat-Face?

Em7add11

That's actually a step-up from "disgusting furball."

Piebald
July 20th 2003, 03:57 AM
Because Rat-Face was a term of endearment that I used on my hamsters :ham2:

How can I get Mononoke to call me "Svelt Diva?"

The pics are great.

How can I get Mononoke to call me her one and only?

Say "My name is your one and only"
(* = my)

they sometimes bite, too.

Sometimes they bite.

If your hamster gives birth to a litter of pups, she will likely be mean as heck from then on. The male hamsters are just big, fluffy, and goofy, and almost always nice.

/ot was just thinking about you, SD!

The biting I don't mind so much...but that's more than you want to know about me.

Thanks for the tip on Mononoke...I'm off to do some damage!

Peace,

One time I had to break up 2 male hamsters (father and son)... the father bit into my thumbnail so hard I thought I'd go insane! It was like having a nail hammered into your thumb!

I had hamsters when I was a kid. One had babies, then when they grew up there were to many in the same cage. They started fighting each other. They would bite each others legs and the leg would get all infected. My mom had to ask the vet what to do, and the vet said put the hamster in a paper sack and turn on your car. Put the sack up to the muffler and put the hamster to sleep by breathing the exhaust. It was all so very traumatizing. I have never had any since then.

My dad did exactly that with my pet rat when I was about 19. It got sick somehow and started vomitting (something rodents are supposed to be incapable of) and leaping at us whenever we put our hands in the tank to feed him. Ultimately, we had to push food through the wire grid on top of the cage because he had become an attack rat!!!! This is the same critter that used to curl up and sleep on the back of my neck under my hair.

One day my dad put his had in the tank and the rat bit into his finger and would not let go. My dad had to bash the poor critter's head against the tank to get him to release his grip. Of course, I was crying hysterically for the rat...not my dad!

Once first had been drawn, it was all over for the rat. He got gassed and buried in the back yard. I insisted on a decent burial. Dad wanted to shot put him into the woods. He was pretty peeved!

That's my sharing for today.

Peace,
J:pray:

My dad did exactly that with my pet rat when I was about 19.

I had two female fancy rats that developed mammary cancer (as most do). Even after having been operated on to remove the tumors (yes, I actually had it done), they were gentle and loving. I had to give them pain meds and antibiotics a couple of times a day and never had any problems.

I miss my girls. :frown:
