What would gender mean for a non-physical being? Nothing important really.

Everything used to speak of God is merely metaphor. We call God 'he' because the most dominant metaphors used of him are generally as Father and King, which are both male. In an essentially patriarchal society God is always going to be described as 'he'. Are female metaphors used of God? Certainly. Wisdom, a Mother-hen etc. There is nothing implicitly wrong with using female language but the sort of language you are using there is questionable because it seems to draw too heavily on 'pagan' metaphors.

What is meant by 'coming from the Heavenly Body' or 'Womb of a female Goddess'? As a metaphors go they are lacking because they can very easily be misleading...

So then do you agree; the policitcally correct thing to do is to call God a S/He or He/r since both genders can be seen in the words. Further since all through the bible it says Honor thy Father And Mother, that We are made in God's Image Male and Female made He them, is it Disrepectful to the Female, or Woman Not to meantion the Mother and Fact Jesus too came from the Womb of a Woman.

If God could beget a Son, then couldnt God also beget a daughter, the same way S/He did with Adam and Eve? In other words How come there seems to be no Female in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost? Yes, certainly, John goes out of his way twice to use a masculine pronoun where the grammar required a neuter one, when speaking of the Spirit of God. And God does speak of giving comfort "as a mother comforts," but the gender is always masculine in references to God in Scripture.

This would I think be to describe God to us, just as God is depicted as a Father, and we should not take liberties with Scriptural imagery...

And threads like this seem to me to explain why God speaks to us through His prophets in anthropomorphic terms; we have a very hard time in this life relating to another entity, spiritual or material, outside of gender specific roles and deals. Personally, praying to the "Holy It" just doesn't cut it for me.

Has anyone considered that God choose to portray Himself in time as male for substantive reasons? As an esotericist, I've come to believe that there's meaning and purpose in all the structure of inspired Scripture, all the way from the meaning metaphor leads to down to how and why God chooses to portray Himself. Not saying I understand any more of it than anyone else, just that I believe this structure exists. While I don't think there's anything wrong at all with pointing out attributes of God that are traditionally feminine in nature, it may be another thing to purposefully impose a gender on God opposite that He's chosen to portray Himself in.

If as I believe, every truth religious tradition holds is necessarily of God, then it seems to also hold that any of these truths modified by man to suit his or her own liking (Job 34:3-4) is antithetical to the overall Truth. In the end, the fact that Jesus taught that marriage is non-existent in heaven (Mark 12:18-25) supports the idea that gender has its legitimacy only here in the realm of particulars, which only makes sense philosophically.

The interesting question to me is, from what motive do we debate these kinds of things?

I hold 'God' as bi-genderal in his/her/Its primal and creative constitution and expression in a relative sense...but hold Him in his Absolute Beinghood as prior to and transcending all gender-nomination in His Undifferentiated Oneness of divine Being as the One I AM, the primal Monad. Only in the relative duality where the One is divided into the polarites of male/female are these distinctions noted.

The Spirit of God appears to have a more feminine quality-ministration as the Holy Spirit, Shekinah, divine Wisdom(Sophia) aspect of Deity. This aspect would be the divine Mother. On the creative plane....we have the Father/Mother God whose synthesis brings forth creation/offspring. Man mirrors this duality of gender in mind and body....being individualized. As man and women come together in holy union they become one and share in procreation....manifesting the One Life in further individuations of male or female...these then marrying to continue the progeny of God.

We merely call God Father because Jesus did, ....for the Father is the seed-sower.....the One who fathers all into existence, the Head,...the Originator. Naturally to those spiritually attuned....God is divine Mother as well,...although we do not have to address or pray to a divine Mother formally.....for the Mother is in the Father and they are both One.

The Spirit of God carries both masculine and feminine qualities of Deity and aspects beyond gender.....even androgynous. Traditionally I am fine with calling God Father....embracing fully Deity as Mother as well. (at this point in my evolution anyways ).

I'll have to disagree here. Throughout the OT God was referred to as "Lord", which was a generally masculine title. I don't think the title Lord would have been applied to a woman, though I'm not certain of this. Jesus's acknoledgement that God is "Father" went beyond merely Him using the title--He exhorted us to do so (Mat 23:9). I'd have to stick with my fundie leanings and stay wtih my conviction that there's meaning in all levels of inspired Scripture. This issue seems not something that carries much consequence--we who walk in faith walk in liberty in regard to such things--but to my thinking there's benefit in alignment with any portion of truth, no matter how small.

No Bernie: I just recently saw the movie; of which there were many things I agreed with. But m;y purpose is to repeat and remind yall; what God, Eph. 5 and Jesus himself said.

When God asked in Job "Who gendered it, was our clue to THINK about it; and because GOD also referenced the Womb which only Females have; than I think this is what God, Jesus and all the prophets were tryhing to get US to see; but they could not just come out and say it because we are suppose to SEEK. Personally I think Isa. 66:6-9 shows this and so does prov. 9 which says Wisdom has built Her House, S/He has killed Her beast, sent out Her maidens and cryith upon the highest hill tops.... Throughout this prov. S/He or Her is mentioned a lot but I think its ignored because most people cant admit GOD is talking about a Real Woman....And behold I saw the woman drunken....

I'm not convinced we'll be genderless in the afterlife. Adam and Eve were created male and female, and they were very good. In the new Earth, why would such a vital and intrinsic part of our humanity be stripped away, when we could be 'very good' with gender? It does seem that there will be no marrying or giving in marriage, but there's more to gender than genitals. I'm leery of anything which suggests that our sexuality is somehow evil or a tacked-on part of us which can be removed at will. My womanhood is more than just my body; I think differently to a man, feel differently to a man, behave differently to a man. If you took away my womanhood, I wouldn't be me! (To be fair, you could make a similar argument for sin; but it's sort of silly, and nobody's made it, so I won't bother debunking it... I have way too much free time).

As for the OP, I don't believe being made in the image of God really relates to gender. After all, animals and some plants have gender, too. Isn't being 'made in the image of God' being made with attributes of God such as creativity, love, desire for communion and so on, to a far greater extent than the animal/plant kingdom can display? Open to theories on this, incidentally.

Well I disagree but to put it another way, Let's say GOD is "Like" pure Energy which as we all know Cannot be Created or Destroy. Within this "Energy" there is a Postive and Negative feild of energy. Positive and Negative, Black & White, Good and Evil and even Male And FeMale.

If we ask GOD about our Image and our form we are either born Male= Xy like our Father's or a FeMale=XX like our Mothers, but within Both of these Gender's there is only One Y and the common denominiator is the X. But why is it that difficult to just accept the simplicity - that where Jesus was God and man at the same time - God is male and female at the same time, and really since one (besides God) cannot be male and female at the same time...

Agreed. The most interesting bit of information gained here is the desire of some posters to defend the use of 'He' in scripture. A Christian who insists that God must be a He is shedding far more light on his or her beliefs of male/female roles here on earth than an understanding of God. Surely, the Christian God is beyond gender, no? While I do not believe it is a strict rule in English (of which there are none), I was taught that it is proper to use 'he/him/his' when speaking of someone of unknown gender (the common use of 'they/them/their' being incorrect). It is the same as the use of 'man' for 'person'.

(An aside: Anybody have information on gender cases in Aramaic?)

People should pay very close attention to words like "Like" when it refers to A Host/ess, Lion/ess or Prince/ss. For example Satan Roars LIKE a Lion and seeks to destroy. I really dont know where your coming from here. You are NOT Satan, daughter of God, you have within you Satan, which is nothing more than the 5 senses of the human being which project outwards from us and are part of the mortal mind. It is this mortal mind, or lower mind some call it which usurps the power of God and yet this 'Satan' had NO power of its own, it only has the power we ourselves give it. When we look outside ourselves and react in fear or terror to something, then we have given our power away to this Satan of the 5 senses. This is what Jesus meant when he said we were all born in sin. Sin, the original sin that Jesus speaks of, is not knowing who you really are. You think you are seperate from God and that is sin. Because we are not seperated from God in any way. We cant be, just think about it, we wouldn't be here if God's power was not within us, sustaining us. God has all power and he is the first cause of all things. Hence, he caused you and I and everyone else to be here on the Earth at this time.

Jesus was a human man the same as we are human. He had the same flaws that we have and he overcame these flaws by conquering Satan of the senses. Knowing that all outside ourselves is but a illusion. The senses tempted him to remain on Earth and He would be rewarded with a kingdom on earth. Hi, Iam not quite sure if you are calling me a liar or you are directly relating a liar to Satan. Maybe you could clarify that. I can assure you that Iam not in anyway a liar. NO, not even so called little white lies. A lie is a lie and that is that. Now yes, Satan is termed a liar because as I have said he represents the 5 senses of mankind, which we all have dont we? The senses are used to determine what is in this earth plane although it is illusionary and not what is seems. That is where the liar part comes in. This earth realm feels real to us through the 5 senses. But in the higher realms of living, ie heaven and other higher spiritual planes, it appears there to be perfectly solid and real too. I have already answered the question re God's gender. God is genderless you could say because God is Spirit and Spirit is Light which has no gender as we know it. The trinity I have already told you about. It consists of Consiousness ( awareness) we term The father, Intellegence ( we term as the Mother) and the 2 spirits together (merged) have one 'offspring' which we call Christ who is also Spirit and termed the Son of God. Jesus was the son of Man before he was raised up to be the son of God. He was not the first that this happened to and he wont be the last. Hmmm Iam not quite sure what your getting at here, not quite sure I understand what your saying. However, yes, God is energy, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipowerfull and Spirit is undestructible, it is eternal. God/Spirit is undestructable!!
I dont concur that Jesus is the positive and satan is the negative although on refelction I suppose you could look at it like that. However when you realise that Satan or the devil does not exist, then that would take the Devil out the equasion and leave Jesus as just the positive.

A trinity with twins in her womb? No, I dont think so. Where do you get this from. Remember that there is only ONE LIFE not billions of little lives. The one Life (God) has individualised Itself and we are that individualised life with the same creative powers as our Father.

To believe that the Mother God has a womb as women do would be quite wrong, the Mother is the intelligence as the Father is the consciousness. The primordial energy of That, which we call God would have to have created the Mother, the intellegence within itself, the Mother is not a seperate entity, just in case you thought it was. Maybe that is my fault as I didn't describe it very well I dont think anyway God made all things.God didn't virtually spring to life with the Mother trailing behind him. A better way of viewing it may be this: God made everything and God is in everything that he has made.

I realise that this is pretty difficult to comprehend John. I shall try and put it more plainly if possible for you.

That, which we call God is all there is. There is no one else, just God or primordial substance.

Contained in this primordial substance is Consciousness/ Father (that is awareness, just as our consciousness is) also contained in the primordial substance is Intellegence ( that which we call the Mother and when those inbuilt qualities merge, as they do, then the primordial Son is born. This is what the Christ is. The result of these primordial energies blending together.
This is the trinity!!

Now, there is nothing outside of God. God creates and continues to eternally create. That is what God does and that is what is behind all that we do and see in every spiritual realm. God creates form and becomes the form he makes. Hence It is the sustaining force of all forms that are made everywhere. We move and have our Being in Him, we could say It or that and we would still be correct. Iam That I am!!

When first we were created were angels and had awareness of being One with God. But as we as humans progressed we forgot God and thought we were powerfull and did not need God, hence the idea came about that we were seperate from God. This is the Garden of Eden when we ate from the tree of knowlege and evil. The duel mind. The Tree of Life is One Mind, the Divine Mind. It was the idea within us of being seperate from God and being seperate from each other that caused the 'fall from grace' of the fallen angels. God remembered created us perfectly and in his mind, the Divine Mind we are still perfect. Jesus tells us to be perfect like our Father in heaven is perfect and it is this perfection that we are trying to acheive once more to claim our oneness with God.as Jesus did.

When I say people who believe that they are seperate from God, John, this takes in most of the Christians on the earth today and the different Christian offshoots. I most definately include in this all the orthodox Christian churches and this also includes those of other religions who view themselves as seperate from God and they brothers and sisters of different races, creeds anc cultures. This thought that we are all seperate has caused wars, caused envy, caused brother to be against brother, sister against sister and so on. Tremendous damage and loss of life has been caused through this one belief in seperateness alone and all else stems from it.

When Jesus taught us to love our neighbour, brother sister, mother, father, everyone in fact, well we can see that this command has not been heeded at all. So how can you call yourself Christains when you cant love others because they think differently from you. Iam not meaning you personally here by the way, Iam meaing all people of all religions who feel seperate. Even the high ranks in the churches beleive that they are seperate from God, so what chance do their congregation have when they themselves think that and preach it.

Humankind will not stop war, nor any other violent act, will not stop greed or envy or turning thier shoulder when one begs for food and they turn away, all these things have been done, SOLELY through the fact of the belief in seperation. A far cry I think from Jesus's statement of The Father and I are One. And what you see me do, greater things will you do.

The world John has a lot to learn.

This by the way is not a belief, not a new religion. What I have written is a summary of what the Spiritual Masters teach today and tomorrow and they will teach as long as is necessary. The thing is, are you or others prepared to take advantage of their teaching for mankind?

John, dont concern yourself, I dont have any bubble to burst, Iam trying to teach you something here but I fear your thoughts have already crystalised in your mind, hence any new information is going to be automatically disregarded because it doesn't fit into the image you have in your mind of Jesus./Christ or God.

The theological precedence does not matter in the least, because what are theologians anyway? So called scholars of orthodoxy who are still trying like mad to prove the Bible to be true. And, John, is they need to do this on thier own behalf or a particular relgions behalf, then that means that they do not already HAVE the TRUTH, they are still looking for it and looking without for it and not within, where all the answers lie.

As for spiritual precedence, I beg to differ. If you are meaning the Bible here, then which spiritual references are you meaning and I shall take a look.

Now, I understand what you are getting at and I certainly agree inasmuch as we have the male and female energies within us all. That is true and a fact. I didn't realise you were talking about chromosones.

However, regarding Father as Consciousness and Mother as Intellegence, we have these qualities also.

Jesus was asking what they had come to see, when asked to show the disciples The Father and he said A Man. The meaning of this is the spiritual answer and not the phsycial one.
When you realise that Jesus became enlightened spiritually and from their in regarding his teachings to the disciples and the crowds he was talking always in spiritual terms and not talking in a litteral sense. I contradict myself here for a moment because there may be instances when Jesus spoke in litteral terms but even throwing the money lenders out of the temple as a example, he was still referring to them in spiritual terms. However he was talking litteraly also. He was a full spirtualised mind, spirit and body by the time he was teaching. It is hard to take the Bible litteraly and I dont think it is meant to be litteral. If it is, then is doesn't make sense. All you have then is a jigsaw puzzle with peices that dont fit, so they are squashed and bent into all ,manner of shapes to make them fit if you get my meaning.

I don't automatically disregard anything, I just hold Scripture in high regard. Quite simply, if you assert a belief that the Bible is silent on, then I need to consider it closely. I consider it within the framework of the Church, and whether the community of Christ from the Apostles to today have spoken on it, and what their opinions. That will provide me extra information to consider. Then I will go to my own conscience and test it there. But that is the last step, and one that is so fallible I know not to apply greater significance than it deserves. My conscience is a guide, however it is never the harbinger of absolute truth. And just because I "feel" strongly about something, definitely does not make it so.

Theological precedence is of prime importance today, as it was to Paul, as it was to Jesus, as it was to Jeremiah, as it was to David, as it was to Jacob, as it was to Abraham, as it was to Cain. We are not in a position to recreate or rediscover a forgotten truth! Not when we have the legacy of enlightenment to guide us on our path. Now, I understand that some of the ideas you are teaching have historical precedence. But having been said before does not make it said correctly. This same standard must apply to any faith, including, not most importantly Christianity. As C.S. Lewis rightly said, If Christianity is not true, it is of absolutely no account, but if it is true, there is nothing more important.

So what sets this apart from the authors you list. All the faith and tradition of Christianity is based on a narrow and rocky road that leads all the way back to the creation of this world. It does not sever or swerve, and is constantly committed to a primary direction: that man is fallen, that God has chosen to redeem man, that God sent Jesus Christ to redeem, that those who repent and turn to Christ for the hope of their salvation, confessing his death and resurrection, will be redeemed.

This is as true to you and I as it was to Lazarus, Dwal Khul, or Constantine.

John, Iam pleased to hear that you dont automatically disgregard new information and test that imformation our for yourself. That is good. But, if you are still examing it within the framework of the Church, then you are not examing it without bias and so naturally it is going to be rejected. You see, that means you are still following others interpetation and is not your own interpetation because you are looking at the church as a authority over you. It is not your conscience that you discern by, whether something is true or not, it is your consciousness and soul which will give you the answer feely and without bias. Your beleifs may expand but only within the framework of the church, then your thoughts are crystalised as I said before.

John, again this says a lot to me about you. You find the Bible to be adequate and a truthfull book to learn about God. That said there are spiritual laws which are not in the Bible.
The law of reincarnation is not in the Bible because it was taken out the Bible by the Catholic church and Jesus actually did teach about reincarnation. So for this one matter alone, you dont have all the information you need to discern the false from the Truth. Other parts of the Bible have been changed over the years. This is a known fact. The spiritual laws are not the ten commandments, they are laws that are in place today, exactly the same as they were at the Creation. If you go against a spiritual law, even unwittingly, you will receive the consequence of that law, regardless if you knew about the law itself. As you said before I think, 'God is no respecter of persons.

There is no intention whatsoever from me to offend you. And what Iam writing should not offend you if you allow aothers to disagree with you, that doesn't mean they are trying to offend you, but it does tell me that you have a strong attachment to the book, as many people do.

Theological precedence is of prime importance today, as it was to Paul, as it was to Jesus, as it was to Jeremiah, as it was to David, as it was to Jacob, as it was to Abraham, as it was to Cain. Now, I understand that some of the ideas you are teaching have historical precedence. But having been said before does not make it said correctly. Jesus preached to the masses that he was not there to preach the law, although he changed it, bringing in some new laws that would take precedence over the old laws of the OT. So what sets this apart from the authors you list. All the faith and tradition of Christianity is based on a narrow and rocky road that leads all the way back to the creation of this world. It does not sever or swerve, and is constantly committed to a primary direction: that man is fallen, that God has chosen to redeem man, that God sent Jesus Christ to redeem, that those who repent and turn to Christ for the hope of their salvation, confessing his death and resurrection, will be redeemed.

But John, when I have just said to you that all the Bible is not true, things have been added and things have been talen away so I would say that if your hope of salvation is based on the Bible, you are on shaky ground. Excuse me, if you say that you turn to Christ for the hope of salvation and you dont accept that Christ is within you, then logically I would say, where is it you turn to to find Christ in the first place, because if you dont know where he is, then how can you turn to him. Sri Yuketswar wrote a small book entitled The Science of Life. I suggest you read it. Yoganada was his student and he attained enlightement as did Sri Yuketswar his teacher or guru.

Out of those I named there are others as I said, a lot actually, but to many to list here. However they all wrote about Spirit and the REALITY of Life and taught about the illusionary world or maya as it is called by them. Their teachings were not that far from Joel Goldsmith or Dr Murdo MacDonald Bayne, or another author called Baird T Spalding, the last 3 partcially writing similar things, with Dr Macdonald Bayne going into things much more deeply I have to say, but they were very similar indeed and in most part, were saying the same things. So, again I have to disagree strongly with you that they dont provide a cohesive teaching platform for humanity. Because they do that most certainly.

Hi Burnt Offering, consciousness is awareness. We all have awareness to a higher of lesser degree.. The ant, or beetle lets say, dont have the awareness that we do, you will agree, but still they have a much lesser degree of awareness or consciousness.

Intelligence is the inbuilt factor that is pure knowledge and knows 'how to' acomplish or acheive what needs to be done in the Mind of God. By this I mean the 'thoughts' that are in the Mind of God. Intelligence carries out the Father's will and is known in spiritual terms as 'The Mother'.

Intelligence is not the intellect as most people tend to think. These 2 words mean the same thing. The intellect is what the mortal mind uses, but intelligence is much more than the intelect. Intelligence and reason will lead you on the path to freedom. The intelect wont.

I don't. I'm not sure that I even believe in any kind of "spirit." I'm just stating what human religions say. According to the Jewish faith, G-d is spirit. There is no male or female defined in that understanding. However, in Kabbalah, there is the Shekinah spirit which the Talmud says is both male and female. This Shekinah spirit is said to have been the "breath" breathed into mankind to make them sentient. Maybe this is where the "male and female" idea comes from. It is interesting that at conception, ALL humans have BOTH X and Y genes - IOW, we are both male and female at conception!

Hi Jonathan, sin is beleiving yourself to be seperate from God. Thinking that you as a individual are seperate from God or the WHOLE.

How does this affect our relationship with God? First, it doesn't affect THAT which we call God in any way, but it does affect us significantly. The reason being is we dont create our reality with the God mind, but rather create it with the mortal mind. The mortal mind is governed by the senses and therefore perceives everything from a perceived individual basis. This mortal mind is what we call the egoic mind. It is like a lower self, if you know what I mean. It thinks mainly only of itself and it only has two modes of action, attack and defend. These is does with everything that appears to go opposite to it. It, the lower mind has basically taken control whereas it is what we term the Higher Mind or God mind that should be in control.

As long as we think we are seperate from God we are living in sin. This is original sin.

What affects one of us affects all of us. We are doing this or that for the race. If we fall in sin, so do others and if we rise above sin, so do others. It cant be any other way because in reality we ARE ALL ONE, whether we know it or not. Some do know it and some dont.

Hmmm, I think your meaning the apple tree, but it doesn't matter what the name was because it is symbolism for the tree of good and evil, which is the 'tree' that mankind have eaten from symbolically as opposed to eating only from the Tree of Life.

The tree of good and evil represents the duality in the world, our believing in good and bad. These are in opposition to each other and we think wrongly that this is REAL. The Tree of Life on the other hand, has no opposite, it is the Tree of God which has no opposition. This is the REAL, the other is of the shadows as our world is a shadow world made up in our owm minds, but well away from God's truth of love abd blessed light.

The serpent power respresents the kundalini energy which must rise in due course in manking and bring us back to the Tree of Life which is where we began so to speak. Hence we are in the progress of going back to our own REAL home.

Adam and Eve were also symbolic, there not being a real Adam and Eve. The Bible is full of symbolism, the reason being that most of the teachings were veiled because the minds of that day could not discern the spiritual and the same is true today. I really am at a loss as to what to think of your reply. I find it more confusing than ever I have to say. Forget the chromosones for a minute because in the scheme of things they only apply to the material flesh and as such are not that important. It has to be because all that we see through our senses have come from the invisible world before they have materialised in this world.

Hi Burnt Offering, God is both male and female. God made out of himself a female which bore the Son. We are made in the likeness of God both male and female. But we are not just meaning bodies here, we are talking about the Creative Principle and how it creates.

The He/aven was created 1st i.e., male and the Ear/th is 2nd i.e. Female. The 1st thing GOD did was to teach us to Count. Unfortunately knowing God made males 1st has made men put themselves first instead of real eyes-ing we are All born; with 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 hands, etc but No Woman can give birth to twins at the same time.

Hi Burnt Offereing, I understand what you mean and you are correct in what you say ie the Father, All that is would through our understanding be first. And yet we are told there is no beginning and no ending because both these things are one and the same. All starts with God and all is God and there is nothing outside God.

Yes, Indeed Burnt Offering, God is a God of Order and Spirit and is the First and the Last.

What I described above is how the Creator creates, ie consciousness, intelligence = son.

It has to be as you say really when deep thought is used that God MUST carry within Itself male and female hence you are correct when you say He/She is that which we call God.

We are all Sons and Daughter's of God, we are both Human and Divine our real divinity comes through the Christ seed within us and every one of us has this seed. I said before that Self Realisation comes about through nurturing this indwelling seed which is true, but we only start doing that nurturing in a deliberate and serious way, when we are starting to awaken to the principle that we are Divine by nature and once the Christ seed has matured in us, the result is Self Realisation when we merge with God and are One. It is then that we have moved from death to life and are truly alive in God while still walking upon this earth. The Christ was given dominion over this world and all the things pertaining to this world, we too have that inheritance and that is the reason we were created, to have dominion over this world. We need to be Master's over our selves (small selve, the small I that we call ourselves). We follow in the footsteps of Jesus who showed us the way.

Dear Jonathan, Iam given you here a excerpt from Dr Mac's book of Montly Letters Book One.

Dr Mac is a teacher of what is known as the Ancient Wisdom and yet this widsom is not obsolete, it is in fact everlasting. Dr Murdo MacDonald Bayne is much loved by his students. He passed over in the early 1950's, healing thousands of people worlwide and teaching others the Inner Wisdom which is Truth. Truth cannot be given unto another it can only be lived, expereinced, this Truth is enlightement when the individual consciousness merges with Divine consciousness. This act is know as enligtenment or Self Realisation. Excerpt as follows:

Perhaps you grew up with your beliefs, but since then you never questioned them to see if they were true or not, and all your efforts were merely to adjust your actions to the dictate of another.
You will see that this is struggle, this effort to conform, to imitate does not lead to understanding but makes you a hypocrite and insincere to yourself and others.
Hence you do not know what you really think, what you really feel, because you never doubted the pattern you are trying to conform to. To think clearly you must be free of prejudices, attatchements and the ideas of others.

You know that God is Love, Wisdom, Healing and is omnipresent. You accept this as true, yet you will not discern that which is not true, with the result that you perpetuate that which is false.

If you will adhere to your divisions in nationality, in religion and the differing creeds and cults, politics, etc, then you cannot think purely, for you will only think in accordance with your belief which seperates you and iss utterly false, for the'Presence' cannot be divided against Itself.

The Presence is indescrbiable and that which can be described is not Truth. But by becoming aware of the hindrances to your understanding, by discerning them, by confronting them, by penetrating with pure thought, you will free yourself from them, and thereby realize the Presence that is harmony, poise, love, understanding, wisdom, healing. Then you will become consciouss of the falseness of all things that sepertate one from another.

You will see these hindrances with thier subtle variations that prevent your from living in the Presence that is Omnipresent and Eternal.

The present is immortality, thier is neither past nor future in the Presence for the Presence is always present and to live in the Present is Reality. The past is but experience and the future but hope tinged with apprehension.

The Presence is the only 'LIFE', the 'ONE' and only Reality which gives expression to the Ever Present Presence, which is all there is.

This is Infinity and Infinity must include all as there is no outside of It. The mind has a tendency to divide Spirit from matter, but when we look deeper we see that matter seperate from energy does not exist and energy seperate from Intelligence cannot exist, and this Intelligence is the Spirit which is not only the Presence but 'Is' the Omnipresence. It makes things by becoming the things that IT makes.

Now Jonathan, do not take this as personal rebuke, this is stating things are the Realy are from the perspective of all those who believe that they are seperate from God, who is the Presence within us, regardless of what name we use.

Hey you guys; I'm not feeling the love...here.

What makes a person religious is to do something religiously ; ie brush your teeth, wake at a certain time, smoking a cig with your first cup of coffee, etc.. Whatever you do religiously every day, has No thing to do with Religion.

Its the power behind What You Speak into existence. You are gods; and You dont know how powerful you are. You are gods, because We are made of what God's got; Spirit, Conscieness, Instinct, but there are Two kinds of In Too Its i on (In 2 its I On).

Two kinds of Spirit; but the same GOD works in all. Do you really have to put Him first? Or can you give just as much Honor to the Mother; who gave birth to the Son; and What about the Mother who has a Daughter? Did you think GOD would not make a place, part, role for HER? Well one thing for sure; for some reason the Bible says Reward Her with Double.

Gasby isnt it better, more accurate, more efficient and space saving to refer to GOD as S/He instead of Him/Her, He/She, etc.

You say the son is consciensness; Why? is that assigned to him?

God spoke things into existence; and so can we. But in the Beginning; when GOD created the heaven and earth; it shows GOD's Spirit and Heavenly Bodys Moves Upon and Below the Waters. But the 1st thing GOD did after that was say Let There Be Light, calling Her Son forth. Then she said Let Us make Man in our own image; after our likeness and Let them have dominion.

And when Mary found out she was Having a Baby; she too said Let It Be...

Yes, indeed there is nothing to stop anyone for using Mother God because without the Mother there would be no creation, well not as we know it anyway.

Iam pleased that you mentioned the words 'The he said 'Let US make man in our own image.'
because this is where He acknowledges the Mother. Remember that God is what we have termed Father and He is consciousness. Now out of 'His' own substance came the Mother, the Mother is the Intelligence and combined Father and Mother comes the SON. As this is the way things have been termed, it isn't really necessary to make a change to Mother unless you prefer to put things that way. God's word isn't language it is Truth! Truth is the Word that was brought forth. Of course all is vibrational energy pouring forth from the Godhead, and God produced sound and colour out of Himself and Herself because their IS only the one substance in existence, as there is only one Spirit who is Creator of All that Is. When you realise, as you obviously do, that we have power within us and use this is to create our reality because... we are made in His Image and Likeness in our manner of creating and not likeness in our phsyical body as some seem to think. So, basically we could say that without the 'Mother' there would be no creation. Both Father and Mother are equal in all ways and are also ONE as we are One.

We tend to think of only one creator and there is Only one Creator responsible you could say for all that we are aware of and are One with.. And yet, logical there could be so very many other creators of whom we no nothing and know nothing of their creations.

I posed this question to a guru once a long while ago and he said this was correct, there are more creators than we could ever dream of.

When I was young, I would climb out on the roof of our building around 3AM after all of the businesses and nightclubs were closed and imagine myself traveling among the stars. On particularly clear evenings, it seemed as if there were more stars than there was sky. I knew through my science classes that some of the stars that I was gazing at had long ago died out and I was seeing just the final light of its life reaching our planet.

I also recall reading Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urberville's. It is a tragic story of a young woman who endures life as a peasant in the late nineteenth century with all of its brutality and meaninglessness. Here is a passage that has always haunted me:

Abraham talked on, rather for the pleasure of utterance
than for audition, so that his sister's abstraction was of no
account. He leant back against the hives, and with upturned face
made observations on the stars, whose cold pulses were beating
amid the black hollows above, in serene dissociation from these two
wisps of human life. He asked how far away those twinklers were,
and whether God was on the other side of them. But ever and anon
his childish prattle recurred to what impressed his imagination
even more deeply than the wonders of creation. If Tess were made

Hi Norm, I have never read this book although I know it is a classic. I should maybe read it one day, in fact now that you have mentioned it, I probably will.

The excerpt I think is great and the question you pose is a difficult one to answer for many and yet we can go to the stars anytime we want, it is called astral travelling and I myself have never done this, but I know other's who have. One actually reported to me that 'he had been sitting up on the star'. By that he meant one of a few stars that were visible that particular night.

I personally dont have a answer for you, maybe someone else has.

Hi Burnt offereing, yes indeed Earth is a testing ground you could say. It is a school for souls development basically and we are all here to learn lessons. The greatest lesson we have to learn is unconditional love without any judgement whatsoever about all people, everything in fact that is on Earth.

Once we have acomplished these tasks we become as Jesus who showed us this very lesson, he went through this very lesson before becoming enlightened by the Christ Spirit.

I know it is a difficult concept to think that there may be other creators with different world and universes, but again, why could this not be so? Although I was told this was a fact it still makes me wonder I must say and Iam not yet convinced. I think we have enough work to do here and that is sufficient for now.

I can say that after we die, we are NOT given our own planet but we do move up to a higher realm than this one currently is. It is a realm that is loving in all ways and this realm is where we have built our treasure and not this realm of Earth.
