Sorry if this has ever been posted.

At my friends crazy church, they played this audio for the congregation.

Is this wack or what?

Yes, it's whack. This guy has been around trying to put the fear of organized religion into people for some time.

And here I thought the screams from hell came from my next door neighbor's house on New Year's Eve...

Seriously, even AiG dismisses this as bunk:
Screams from the Earth?

Snope's Urban Legends website also has an entry on this:
The Well to Hell

btw i have a serious problem with any "church" that would feed such garbage to the flock... it is an obvious scam and easily verifiable as such.

http://www.amightywind.com/hell/aboutsounds.htmThis was admitted to be faked (as though we couldn't tell!)

If you want something really whacked, click on the "citizen in hell" link at the bottom. It's a woman singing a song that she claims to have heard a vctim in hell singing, when God showed her hell. Total freak show stuff.

I'm sure she meant "Hades," since nobody is (yet) in Hell.

And now for something completely different...

Here is an authentic photo (IIRC it was featured on NASA's website sometime in May of 2003 as an Astronomy Picture of the Day). It depicts the Helix Nebula, described as a trillion mile long tunnel of glowing gases but probably better known as
the Eye of God (www.lightofchrist.us/Eye%20of%20God.JPG)

Ya that's a really cool image!

But I thought all images from space were in black and white, and later color was added based on light waves or something? I always wondered what the original photos look like. You should view Hubble's original photos (b&w), some of the stuff looks like a wisp of smoke in space, but after they add the color, you really see something amazing!

Anyway, ya I couldn't believe they played that audio in church! Really sad that people get sucked into this. It's odd that anybody believes Hell could be in the center of earth, or the sun even. That is, an actual physical place. That would mean, likely, that heaven is also a physical place. But where? Perhaps in the middle of Jupiter? Or just beyond our telescopes reach? Dumb. And how limiting!

Peter Kreeft, whom I've been listening to a lot lately, has some good insights into Heaven. He says that we are really in a "womb" of sorts right now, being grown up for a new life elsewhere. Example, a baby in his mother's womb, doesn't know any other world, they have feet but don't know why, etc... Only until they are born do they find out what feet are for, and learn of MUCH larger world with vast amounts of things unknown. And so are we now in a "womb", getting ready to be born into our next life. Once again, we have our universe, we think it's all there is. But once we are born again, as like a baby, we will be birthed into a world much larger then we could ever imagine! With another vast amount of things we could have never imagined while in the womb. Interesting stuff. Kreeft has some good stuff on heaven and hell.

The "Eye of God" photo is a composite of images from Hubble (and IIRC a ground-based telescope as well).
