Often the claim is made that since sedimentary rock are deposits laid down in water that this somehow demonstrates that they were therefore all put down by water at the same time (Noah’s Flood). One of the many problems with this notion is that some sedimentary deposits are not the result of being laid down by water but are in fact created because of a lack of water.

An ignored Heliocentric consequence of an orbiting earth and moon system on the Laser Ranging Experiment, proves Geocentrism to be true.

A recent study has offered genetic evidence to help substantiate the claim that orcas (popularly known as killer whales despite being mammals and not fish) are quickly splitting into two distinct types.

Physicists have 'solved' mystery of levitation
Professor Ulf Leonhardt and Dr Thomas Philbin, from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, have worked out a way of reversing this pheneomenon, known as the Casimir force, so that it repels instead of attracts.

Idly clicking through old threads here yesterday I came across the claim that evolutionary theory is "inherently racist". Ok, I've heard this claim before, but I'd be interested in the details because I'm afraid it makes no sense to me.

I often hear that science cannot prove any theory, but it can only disprove theories. But, it seems that science has proved many things. It has proved that infectious diseases are caused by germs. It has proved the effectiveness of certain drugs against certain ailments. It has proved that the earth revolves around the sun. It has proved the effectiveness of vaccines against certain diseases. So, how can it be true that science never finds proof?

It's my understanding that the Uncertainty Principle is an epistemological limit, given known Physics. Notice that I didn't say "current epistemological limit." Mere technological advancement will never overcome this limit.

Quick question and would like anyone's thoughts on it, try to word it off the top of my head;
So, as I understand it, the atomic makeup of atoms of different elements is made of similar things, and the change in each substance as you go up the periodic table is a change in amount of protons, or neutrons and electrons depending on the exact isotope or whatever.

If you believe in the theory of evolution, you should not have any problem with global warning because
1) this has happened before - isn't it that the ice age passed due to global warming

The Grand canyon has been used by both sides in the origin issues. One side to say its proof of long ages and the other side that it is explained by fast processes at or about the end the flood year.

The interpretive errors of YECs have ben much discussed here. But I believe their errors are deeper; I also see a number of theological errors in YEC. (To be fair, YEC did not invent these errors; they are prevalent in modern evangelicalism due to sloppy theological understanding and poor thinking. These errors dovetail with the YEC perspective.)
